Death of the New Gods

Started by HueyFreeman42 pages

Is it me or do Dcs Gods suck. There as bad as greek pantheons who are all for themself.

You mean in terms of personality and motivation? Yeah, alot of them are assholes. Apokolips comes as no surprise, everyone there would backstab DS and each other given the chance. But even New Genesis has their faults with the bug situation.

They're not all bad, but they're not the altruistic gods who look out for mankind.

Although they've definitely had their hand in mankind's affairs for a long time. I'm not sure how far back Seven Soldiers puts it with the Aurakles thing.

Where did this Seven Soldiers story take place?

PotentialFinal Crisis spoiler...pretty self explanatory but.

Spoiler:
After or during Final Crisis would make sense with DS winning and all, and has been hinted at by DC editors and Morrison himself.

Question;

Who believes that Superman's showing against Infinity Man would be classified as an 'above top tier' feat?

Proving to be more than a match for the Infinity Man, physically?

For a moment. I'm sure plenty of people have feats where they stagger an extremely powerful foe with his/her first attack.

Wasn't his first, they were duking it out then Superman took advantage.

That was far and away from Superman's first attack. They'd been trading attacks for a while since.

I think it did a good job of depicting Superman's position in power.

When it comes to blows, he's at least slightly above the top tier. In melee, he'd be a good pick to bet the farm on.

However, his overall versatility is quite poor, and when physical combat is denied him, he can seem a bit ineffective.

Oh...Grand Morrison did his whole Seven Soldiers series awhile back, maybe 1 or 2 years ago. It was issue 0...then 7 minis...I think Klarion, Zatanna, Mister Miracle, Guardian, Frankenstein, Bulleteer, and Shinning Knight, then the finale with issue 1.

And thats where the so called amazing New Gods story took place in...

Sounds good.

Current Thor vs IM how he was shown in the Superman fight, what do ya think of that? 😈

I see you saw the match on HC.

No idea. Ask Galan; he'd have a much better gauge on an Odinpowered Thor vs. Infinity Man.

How powerful is classic IM anyway?

I never read anything with him, know I want to.
