How to make the Games vs Forums a better place

Gauntlets are subject to the same restrictions regular matches are subject to. If yours was closed, it was because it broke a rule.

Hint - read the rules thread before making threads.

Alright, but the forum rules say that gauntlets are an exception.

Gauntlets will be the sole exception to this rule, but I still ask that it stays under 6 opponents.

Read the rules through entirely.

Was there really a point to that?

Don't post in or bump threads unnecessarily. If you don't have anything to actually add to the discussion, just don't bother.

peach, i think you should make it a rule that the thread starter should be required to describe the fight, i.e the characters, limitations, where it takes place, etc. becuase it gets extremely tiring when in every thread all it says is "discuss" or "topic". It would make things a lot more easier 😬

Im going to second that. A perfect example of this is when people say, "Link vs So-and-so". There are different Links. Things like this really need to be specified.

yawn If nothing else, I think maybe Kratos, Dante, Kain, Master Chief, Sephiroth, and any other character I'm missing that's debated here every day should be banned for awhile just to see how well this board functions with other characters. 🙂

It'd be dead.

Although I'm all for banning Kain. 🙂

yep we need more Great mighty Poo threads and Raziel ones

me three its getting on my nerves(but atleast my thread is a good example of how the link vs threads should be)

We need to put characters from movie based videogames in here. We don't have to mention what they've been doing in the movies and comics, we can just mention what they've been doing in the videogames. "Only characters that are allowed in here are the ones originated from games." What a crappy rule.

I missed this before, and agree.

Agreed.

Lets get some more obscure and "low level" power characters into some matches, it is becoming quite dull to see the same characters used over and over, especially ones that have a real high power stance. (most being on the verge of god-hood and the like.)

No.

That rule is never, ever going to change.

And why not?

Because there's no need for it to change. There are more than enough characters available restricting the forum to just VG characters that actually originate in a game. It's VG versus, not "video games and things somewhat related" VS.

It does make things confusing Nem it also discourages loopholes and mindless debates of "when he was in the movie he did this" "the game version is stronger then the movie version and the movie version could do such and such" also if you want that sort of thing go to movies section and deal with movie based characters in that vs board.
