Here I am, flowing through a series of intricate moves, and in between them she'll just throw an upper and I'll slip off the edge!

It is shallow.Every competeive game has something in it's that cheap and noobs exploit... you just need to be better to compensate.
The fact of the matter is, I've played fighting games since I was a kid, and I still say that the most dangerous opponents are ones who aren't hardcore players.
As hardcore players we're already aware of what is and isn't possible, or is and isn't a good strategy, whereas newbies are not going to be bound by that. Resultantly, they're way more dangerous because they're unpredictable.
Ring-outs are a stupid idea, they always have been. If two great players never get knocked out, then why even have it?

But, if one isn't able to beat a noob just because they are randomly pressing buttons and therefore unpredictable, then you probably weren't really that good, just used to what your opponents usually do.

No offense but you get a big "LOL" from me, as I've yet to ever lose a match online due to ringout...You'd have to get your ass beat for quite a long time, and not be aware of your surroundings, to get driven back that far, than raped off the edge..
Or if you are playing as Yoda for the first time and jump out while doing a bunch of flips while attacking.

You'd have to be a super elitist, even the BEST SC players can get ringed out, even Air-Juggled out to RO, sure you can air control, but sometimes, strings hit no matter where you try to AC anyhow.
Also, throws can RO you as well, these are important aspects as well, because good players can position themselves for a throw that can throw the opponent out of the ring.
RO's do occur, even at the highest lvls of SC, to even think that great players don't get knocked out is crazy. Sure it doesn't happen 24/7, but it does indeed occur and can be utilized to your advantage, I agree with you that you have to know your positioning in SC, however it goes both ways, in that you position yourself to limit your opponent while pushing him to the edge, and the opponent vise versa, and it switches.
SC RO's are very real.

Ok.. this pretty much shows you dont play fighters against great players lol.. they ring each other out all the time in soul calibur series
hell.. most of the damn fight is trying to avoid getting ring outed, then you have mixup and all the other goodies to worry about that lead into juggle strings and such.. not to mention there are juggle strings that cause ring outs.. as JustFrame said
noobs arent unpredictable.. they're just randomly mashing buttons... you simply step back.. take a deep breath.. lol quietly to yourself (or out loud if you're the cocky type), then sweep the stage with their broken dreams, clean your weapon off and keep truckin'.. IMO of course 😉

Of course they get ring-outed, that was my point.

I'm not quite sure how that was your point unless you were being sarcastic.. and strangely my sarcasm sensor didnt go off.. hmph..Also... how bout we arrange some KMC soul calibur'ing? 🙂
It's a valid, and very basic, method of proof.

So... he complained about ring outs.. (not to mention you agreed with him, to make things more confusing)... JustFrame and I said even high level players get ring-out.. so its perfectly reasonable to have them, thus theres no point complaining... and somehow that was his point?... I'm not following (and thus not finding the sarcasm, or the "point"😉
