some of Nightmares combos as well as Ivy's seem to chomp up life bars while other characters drastically suffer to keep up.

Um.. Ivy, yes... I haven't seen Nightmare deal as much as Ivy yet...

So far some chars I've seen that are retarded are like...Seung Mina, Ivy, Sophitia, Seigfried, Astaroth, n maybe Taki.. and I personally feel Zasalamel is ridiculous as well (my friends disagree) with his 2 part guard break swings that lead into cutscene Ivy-esque attack throws that also double as a ring out given the right circumstance

Taki 'can' be pretty retarded... but it seems as though you gotta work for that silliness (which mostly comes in the form of her flip into free grab setup from the ground pound)

I'm hearing Cervantes is up there as well

Vader coming to 360 and Yoda to PS3 next thursday!
They will both cost 5$ however.

Thats a lot of people complaining right there mmm

I wouldnt mind paying $5 for Vader, thats equivalent to like, 2 cheeseburgers. The hours of use justify the small price for me. srug

I've heard more intelligent comments from rocks then from GameSpot users, so usualy don't read those, imo a free one would have been preferable, but I know I'll pay the 5 $.

The apprentice looks like he was modeled after the guy that plays Doomsday on Smallville

Great that they got Vader and Yoda moving to different systems, now when do you guys think we'll be gettin some more unlockable characters from the DLC store?

So.. does anyone like, know of a step-by-step process or somethin' of getting Vader on the 360? Because I'm really a newb when it comes to this DLC stuff. I realize he costs $5 and all (lol), but how do I pay for him on the game exactly?

Eh, nevermind my stupid question. I figured it out myself after awhile. Just ended up spending 400 Microsoft points for him, and it was worth it. I just completed story mode too, and his ending was most badass (if anything, it should be the official/canon ending to the game 131). His slowness gave me a bit of trouble against Yoda and Algol, but I love what he did to Algol in the end (used the dark side of the force against him, and then gained control of Soul Calibur and Soul Edge). Wow..

Sweet.

I've already trained to level 9 with him, bought his ultimate weapon, and customized him some 😈 (on the 360).

So I finally, FINALLY got a chance to buy this game. I'm late into it, but I'm enjoying it. I'm buying Yoda when I get the chance and I'm enjoying the character maker it has. Seems pretty cool.

Is it me, or are some battles repetitive, I fought through most of the tower levels with Ivy just pulling grab move after grab, after grab, after grab. It works. I seem unsatisfied, but playing as Vader is really cool, he has some awesome moves.

You're going to get to a point in the Tower levels where the computer has an auto-throw counter and auto- guard break thing. It's ridiculous.

I'm to that point, it's startin' to get hard, but it seems that their AI is stuck on stupid, because I keep getting them 'ring out' with ease in most cases. The game is fun, but it seems like the difficulty curb is easy, easy, easy, easy, BAM! Brick wall, oh shi-!

Indeed. I got to that point by the 20th floor (ascending). Of all my level 9 characters so far (only have 1 custom character at this point), the closest I got to beating that girl on the 20th floor was with Lizardman since I gave him Shave Damage C (though I mainly use Vader). Got pretty damn close too. I know I'll win eventually if I keep trying, and if that doesn't work, I'll just need to play around with the characters' stats/items a little more. ermm

Still yet though, I feel a little ignorant about some things about this game for some reason (as far as getting characters to be the best they can be).

Some of these things like, attributes are stuff that most casual gamers won't even use, let alone understand. Damn, what a bummer.

They'll start to have an auto-ring-out counter too. 😐

I'm serious that cheap.

True. 🙁 I'm still tryin' to understand them myself (am learning slowly but surely), and I've only had this since Christmas too, so eh.. yeah.

The Grapple Break A or whatever? Fortunately, my created character already has that.
