Except The Spectre is actually shown to be all that is and have all the power. Where as Thanos isn't shown to have all the power there is. He's only shown to be superior to the LT and he absorbs a universe. Not quite the same.

Thanos beat one universe and missed Gamora and AdamWarlock.

NOt a stalemate. Thanos wasn't shown to have the power of God. He was just shown to be able to reset something broken and beat the LT becuz God willed it so. The Lt's power comes from God. So for all we know, the lt could have been as powerful as a mouse becuz God had it willed so that his will be done. As far as I'm concerned, We go by on panel feats. Merged Spectre on panel was far more than Thanos with the heart ever was or did.
