That joke doesn't really work in text form.

Thank you! ๐Ÿ˜›

Of course, now I have to worry about alignment shift, but I think it'll be okay. XD

๐Ÿ˜‚

I'm not a fan of D&D, despite having grown up on it ๐Ÿ˜›

That does not surprise me in the least. There will always be cases where someone does not follow something that has been part of their lives since they were young.

I mean, that's how I learned to RP (parents taught me to play it, as they were geeks who played it), but there are much, much better options out there.

What would you recommend, Peach?

If she says vampire the masquerade, she's doing it wrong. ๐Ÿ˜› JUST SAYIN'

I don't like Vampire (because, well, I don't like vampires), but World of Darkness in general is neat. I like the system for it. I play in a spin off of Mage, actually, though we play as members of the Technocracy instead of Mages.

Most of what I play is all custom system-based, though, so yeah ๐Ÿ˜›

Hahaha, alright. Well, I enjoy my dungeons and my dragons for now, so I will stick with it. Thanks, though. ๐Ÿ™‚

DnD is solid, and I like it. I've done custom systems, and they're great... Until a rule dispute happens.

Rule disputes will occur no matter what system you are playing with, though.

Custom systems make them worse. To do custom systems you need the players to really trust the DM, imho.

Personally I would recommend Paranoia. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Amen to that.

In most cases it's not worth worry about it. If you're playing with decent players then it shouldn't be an issue.

Truth.

Wow those monkey island avatars I unlocked work!

Anyone else play the first episode in the new game when it was free last Saturday?

Phew, good thing you said that there. That could have been...messy for me.

And again, that's the case no matter what system you use.

You're missing my point.

Custom systems require more dedicated trust and can caquse bigger hassles in a rules disute by their very nature as a custom system. ๐Ÿ˜ I'm not bashing them. I do enjoy them. But they're harder to do rigth with the more casual players.

This is a point. Seen plenty of less dedicated RPers quail at, say, Ush's custom systems.

But again, Paranoia. Easiest system to get into of any ever made.
