Dogs are better than cats. I prefer biting over scratching. I've experienced both and dog bites are less painful and when they do attack, they give you a fair warning. But cats, they attack you when you least expect it. I once picked up a cat and it looked harmless and next thing I knew, it hissed and gave me a scratch to the face. For a week, people nicknamed me "scarface".

I once accidentaly kicked a beam (a girder) and brown fluids were pouring out of my wound like crazy. Tell me if you experienced somehting more painful than that. Also, speaking of burns, water from a pot that was on an active stove made contact with my eyes and let me tell you now, it hurt really badly. I'm surprised I didn't go blind although the eye lid on the left wouldn't stop closing itself.
