Yeah. I've also heard that Kishimoto, the guy who writes Naruto, also drew the concept art for some of the Tekken characters' appearances.

If they had wanted to move away from it they never should have given him a gruff voice in the first game. That's not something you can easily move away from.

Okay, so I've been reading the massive Master Cheif vs. Samus thread since it was linked earlier. I am sad to note I could only make it to page 56 before the sheer ignorance on both sides got to me and I had to stop and take a breather. GK abandoned it early, too, which was a little disappointing, as he was probably the best debator there.

Felt like a blast to the past, and I wish I was there.
