Originally posted by Phantom MiriaActually, the facts are that you cannot even prove God exists, let alone that he focused any or all of his attention on us, though this is just my opinion. Allow me to just say that I take not one word of the Bible as factual information. I also highly doubt that we in any way, shape, or form resemble an omnipotent, cosmic superbeing at all, I find that to merely be the pride of man making its way into the Bible, a book which we must remember was written by man. Why would God give such an imperfect race of beings his own image, and then give them such an insignifigant role in the universe? I don't think we are not nearly as important as we are led to believe. I would hope God in his unrivaled foresight would have the decency to give the beings he based upon himself, his "masterpiece," at least some sort of cosmic relevance.
[b]God created us in his image. You do present good and valid points, but the fact remain that God did not focus his attention on all the creatures and things in the world. He focused it on us. As such, implying that we meant more to him than ants and boars.Sure, he could have stopped caring, but he cared enough to cast Adam and Eve out of Eden. He cared enough to flood whatever the place was, cast that loctus terror. He cared enough to make sure the mortals knew that they should worship him and none other.
"I am the Lord your God. You shall have no other Gods before me"
Then the ten commandments basically go on with a lot of "do not" stuff.
All I am saying is that for an entity that expressed such care for the lives of a human, he sure does care an aweful little. Perhaps he gave up on us, or he expect us to fix the mess his free will has thrown us into.
All I know, is that if this is the God we all praise, he is not good. Not evil, don't get me wrong, but not good. You look through the bible, and to my understanding, the majority of Gods interactions were to bring harm to some (In favor of others of course)
Cain and Abel.

When it comes to the origin of man, I prefer "On the Origin of Species" personally. 😛 I do not personally believe that God created man; the evidence for evolution surpasses that of creationism IMO. Also, the image that brings up is some fat Cosmic child throwing tantrums because others (Us) don 't revere him. If the Bible is complete, infallible fact, that is what God is, some fat kid who whines when he does not get his way, albeit a well-spoken one.
The Commandments could also very well be false fabrications of man.
An omniscient being would not give up on anything, because he should know how everything will transpire, nor would an omniscient being need to expect something to happen, he would know.
I believe very little of the Bible, nor do I really believe in God being an agnostic, but if there is one, I see no reason why such a being would care for something so incredibly insignifigant. And even if God does care for us, who are the ants to judge the actions of a titan?

Nemebro, you'd make a good convert.
And Phanteros, sure, some do, but some are utter bullshit, and I noticed a pattern, some features that were supposed to be in the game it was claimed for, make it into the next.
Babies in Fable 2, and becoming the king of Albion in Fable 3.

Its just that people need to get on him for lying. Also he just needs to tell the truth.
Just got on my PS3 and played Bioshock but before I played it, I got this pop up telling me I have a system update. I cancelled it and a few minutes later, I get interrupted by said pop up. I had no choice but to go with it and started waiting. I look at the time to see how long it'll take and it said 578 minutes. Hoo-friggin-ray for Sony to make such a "wonderful" system that loads so long.
Most of you guys have Xbox Live and I was wondering, if you got the two prong Xbox 360 network adapter, tell me how long it takes for you to download updates and DLC from the market. I wnat to know this 'cause I'm gonna get one for my 360 this week.

Damn! How slow is your internet connection? I've got several system updates and none of them ever took longer than 15 minutes.

Nah, just yours
Most System Updates for me take, like, 5 minutes, max.
