Yeah, Jecht may have been a monumental ass...but even through that he's got his good moments. Recording spheres for Tidus when he was older, sacrificing himself to be Braska's final aeon despite knowing what would happen, bringing Tidus to Spira in an attempt to end Sin once and for all despite knowing it would kill him...an extremely flawed character, but a good one at that.
That is why I ignore it. FFX had an amazingly beautiful ending. Was it a happy one? No, not necessarily. Tidus and Yuna had a genuinely believable love story and it didn't work out. Not every ending has to be - or should be - completely happy. It was bittersweet, and I love it, and I will admit that I cry every time I finish that damn game 😛

I did not cry at the end of it, but I did cry at the end of XIII's. And I am not sure why. 😐

Some truth to that apparently, allegedly after Dissidia was released several guys admitted that they are GAR for Jecht, which is the to say that a character is so manly they are gay for them. Or so I heard. 😐

Haha, these x-rays don't do it justice, the fracture is elevated upwards, so it broke the skin with a bone shard stickin' out all manly. Barely felt it though, I'm very much used to broken bones, think I've had more than 900 fractures since I was born. I wanted to go party with a piece of bone stickin' out. Had to get convinced to go to the ER.
