Indeed. For a good example of a manly character, look at Jecht, also from X. Manly enough to cut the leg off of a giant elephant in a drunken stupor, but possessing character flaws and regrets. You know, so he somewhat resembles a human being.I do kinda like Yuna, but now that I think about it cannot really remember why. ๐ When I am done achievement whoring my 360 may replay X.
Indeed, DESTROYED the ending to the first game.
Yeah, Jecht may have been a monumental ass...but even through that he's got his good moments. Recording spheres for Tidus when he was older, sacrificing himself to be Braska's final aeon despite knowing what would happen, bringing Tidus to Spira in an attempt to end Sin once and for all despite knowing it would kill him...an extremely flawed character, but a good one at that.
That is why I ignore it. FFX had an amazingly beautiful ending. Was it a happy one? No, not necessarily. Tidus and Yuna had a genuinely believable love story and it didn't work out. Not every ending has to be - or should be - completely happy. It was bittersweet, and I love it, and I will admit that I cry every time I finish that damn game ๐
