You should know better than to disagree with anything I say ever.Okay you're right, Barret doesn't look like a woman. I guess it's just the people with hair.

So you agree with what I said then. 313I was referring more to the fact that, in the exact opposite fashion of DragonAge, everyone in Final Fantasy games looks like a woman.
Which is not the point, because while the character faces run towards the androgynous end of things, the body proportions and anatomy are still accurate. Whereas in DA😮 they are not.

Yes, I know what Final Fantasy IX is.This is what I take issue with, what about it is what is typically seen in anime?
Larger heads, large eyes, small noses, slender bodies. FFIX character designs also somewhat run towards the super-deformed/chibi side of things, so many of the characters have bodies that are slightly exaggeratedly small (Zidane is a good example of this; Vivi is also a classic chibi). Meanwhile Dagger is slightly more typical regular anime, and has limbs that are a bit longer and more slender than usual - also traits typical of most anime art styles.

.Not sure if that would be considered "inappropiate" or not. If so, my bad. Thought this was a funny picture.
Not appropriate.

But there are specific traits that are typical to anime as a whole. Yes, every artist has their own style, but those traits I named are going to always be present to some degree.
Originally posted by PeachI assure you that is not true, there are anime and manga with almost or none of those traits.

What animes or manga look like FFIX's style? Lucky Star is all I can think of at the moment, kind of.

Name some anime that have character designs that have neither 1) larger heads, 2) large eyes, 3) small noses, 4) exaggeratedly tall and/or slender bodies, or 5) overly long limbs.
FFIX's style runs closer to that of shoujo anime, particular ones with younger characters that are by default more super-deformed. Though of course it's also 3D graphics with polygons instead of 2D drawings so it's going to look different regardless. Lucky Star is similar. I'd say Di Gi Charat as well. There's another that's very similar but for the life of me I can't remember what it's called, I haven't seen it in probably 8 years. And now it's going to bother me until I remember.

Shoujo anime sucks though. While this statement has nothing to do with the argument at hand, it is just as valid.

Quick google search shows me that...yes, those do contain some of those traits. No, not all of them, and it's certainly not as pronounced, but they still do. Namely the larger-than-average eyes and exaggeratedly tall bodies (some of those characters are up to 10 heads tall - humans are generally about 7, 7.5 heads tall).
Disagree.
