Anyways, what games do you guys suggest for me to get on the PS2?

Shadow of the Colossus, Okami. If you like fighters, SoulCalibur III is fun. I heard Devil May Cry is good. There's the first God of War, which I thought was well-made and fun. There's always MGS if you're a fan of those.

Also, since you mentioned Beautiful Katamari in the Console thread, get Katamari Damacy and We Love Katamari.

Grand Theft Auto is always good for mayhem and destruction and I find the PS2 ones superior to GTA4. San Andreas is my favorite of the bunch.

I'm surprised GK didn't suggest Tales of the Abyss 😛

SCIII is indeed good, DMC is popular for some reason but I played the first and found it not only boring but extremely easy. I can never recommend God of War because I found it disappointingly crap from the very start.

Look into PS1 games as well, just pick up a PS1 memory card for those.

Oh yes, Tales of the Abyss is a great game if you like long, character-driven RPGs.

I would say track down REZ, but the XBLA version's better.

Ratchet and Clanks, Sly Coopers, Star Wars: Battlefronts, Kingdom Hearts games. Just picked some.

Sly Cooper 1 through 3. Jak and Daxter was fun and I'm sure the series was good, though I only played the first one. FFXII is an option, though I didn't particularly like it. GOW and DMC have already been mentioned. Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2 come to mind as well.

Nah, don't get FFXII. Get FFX. FFXII was an exercise in "Can we mush together Star Wars and FFX as much as possible".

(seriously, when it came out and I started playing it, I spent 2 hours listing out every single thing that was directly ripped from the SW saga and FFX. It was a long list.)

Star Wars Battlefront, though, YES. I love those games so much.

Alot of really gut games already were covered, God of War, Tales of the Abyss, etc. Cannot think of anything to recommend honestly.
