Only if you meant it as an absolute.

For instance, I can say,"I hate Motley Cru songs," which is true, while still liking one song, Dr. Feelgood, which I admittedly do. It is not a contradiction, because my intent was to say generally, and generally I do, but an exception or two can exist.

What mainstream movie classics do you particularly hate though?

None really. I love movies in general. It's a friend of mine who likes watching cult classics like Clockwork Orange and Fear and Loathing while saying old classics like 12 Angry Men are overrated. He also finds Back to the Future too mainstream, which annoys me since I love it.

Yet he likes Star Wars.
