Woohoo, official off-topic thread!

Why would you need to start your game over? That's a terrible idea. ๐Ÿ˜

He does give you concrete info.

Don't forget your pokemanz's nature, which determines its pokeblock taste, how much one of its stats increases, etc.

Because you want your starter Pokemon to be the very best, like no one ever was.

Quote?

Natures I can forgive because it's something I know was introduced in game and it gives character to your Pokemon to a minial degree.

Well uh, there's a thing called breeding, and Ditto.

I suppose you glanced over the word starter huh?

Edit: Will point out that I don't believe they say Ditto can breed with everything in game. Don't remember though.

By the way, they never told you which natures do what until the game after they were introduced, I believe.

He tells you when your Pokemon can't be any better in a specific stat, or whichever one is the best.

Yeah. I'd recommend the universal sex slave otherwise known as Ditto for your starter Pokemon, as Ridley suggested. He can, in fact, have sex with everything that isn't a legendary Pokemon and maybe another ditto.

I saw what you said, but I don't remember starter pokemon being unbreedable. If they are, then my bad.

I didn't say it could breed with everything (legends and ubers being a couple of the obvious exceptions).

Still add personality, corny and unnecessary as is.

Where's he live?

I want my Starter Pokemon to be my absolute strongest. The Pokemon I grow the closest to along my journey.

Edit: It seems I picked the wrong word for you guys. My First Pokemon. Better?

Dude, lol. Starter Pokemon can breed with Ditto. It's not like they're legendary. Where did you get that idea?

Battle Tower.

Are the two of you purposely being dense or is really that hard to understand that I want my first Pokemon to be my best? I don't want to have to breed him a ton of times to get one that has a shot at it.

And ah, that place you can't go to until near the end of the game.

So you're saying you want every Pokemon of the same species to be exactly the same in terms of strength? That's boring, yo.

No....I want my first Pokemon, the one I beat the game with, to have perfect IV's and be the best he can be.

Then you better get yourself an Action Replay, because that is a hacked Pokemon.

Which is why IV's and EV's are worthless depth.

Maybe you should learn something about IVs and EVs before you decide they're worthless.

IV's are genes the determine a Pokemon's strength when they are generated by the game.

EV's are points that are randomized based on which Pokemon you defeat.

Something I'm missing?

Yeah. The fact that Pokemon can do more than kill the thing in front of them, therefore making a Pokemon the best he can be is a little tougher than "I want him to kill everything."

Do you think stat increasing/decreasing moves are worthless? Because if you do it'll explain a lot.

Which is the general mentality that casual gamers have when going into Pokemon.

When I was younger I did. Now I keep one or two if I want but usually never use them. Not that I don't know where you're going with this but amuse me anyway.

Oh, wait a minute. So you're saying that pointing it out isn't enough? Why, that would require an in depth tutorial for everything in Pokemon, which defeats part of the purpose of the games. A big portion of playing through the storyline is always discovering new moves and how you can use them. It isn't Nintendo's fault if somebody fails to grasp the concept of not trying to kill something every second of play.

I don't recall stats being given an in depth tutorial. Is it Nintendo's fault if somebody can't put two and two together there?

That explains a lot then.

There is actually a very simple foundation to my argument that you just seem to be missing. I find it cute how you can't grasp it.

Not really. No game full explains everything but give enough depth to make it fun enough.

Dance puppet, dance!
