The kid is merely misdirected at times, mostly due to the environment he lives in.

I can name several characters who are far worse than Orel if you want.

Then the people who give him these misdirections should be either shot or at least arrested for having him go down such dark paths. He's still retarded because he doesn't think before he acts and lets strangers decide for him.

His parents, Clay and Roberta, are much worse than Orel.

The entire point of the show is that while there is nothing inherently wrong with Christianity (And, in relation to this, Conservative values), too often are they used as a cover-up for one's own misery, rather than making an attempt to find real happiness for themselves, they use these two things as a crutch. I am not supporting this message, but that is the message sent, epitomised by Orel's parents, who are quite frankly two of the most monstrous characters to appear on Cartoon Network.

He does put thought though. In fact, I see the show as a character arc for him. He does become more mature and the show ends on a sweet epilogue where Orel managed to balance Christian beliefs and a stable home.

That is exactly correct, Orel, upon seeing how his parents attempted to bottle down their own hatred and misery with their so-called "values" just made them more miserable, and it is a fate Orel dodges. Which is possibly the best revenge Orel could have against dear ol' dad.

The skits were funny enough. Was mostly referring to the scene he wanted us to skip to.

I maybe a homophobe but I ain't the "people who are different should disappear" type homophobe but the "I'm cool with what they're doing as long as they keep it to themselves" type homophobe and I bet the only reason you and the others jump on me about what I am is because a)I'm the first to admit it in here or b)you're doing this just to make yourself giggle.
