That's a flaw.

The closest thing to a perfect character would be someone like Kakashi. Confident but not too cocky, powerful but not too powerful, intelligent but not the most intelligent, is funny, charming, and likable but is written in a manner such that not everyone falls in love with him and his charisma is overwhelming to us the reader.

Thinking about it, Kakashi is the only fictional character I know that is consistently awesome all of the time, and yet isn't a Gary Stu.

I thought Ibram Gaunt was pretty dope for awhile, but by Ghostmaker he's a Gary Stu (As is the Tanith force collectively).

Oh, another good one is Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan is one of the few characters in the starwars mythos who's been consistently awesome.

Meeeeeeeeeeeeeh. The pacing, directing and acting was so good that it barely strained my sense of credulity. It was bad, but theres waaaay more good stuff going on.

Ok, now that actually was lame. I said the middle kinda sucked alllll the way back when you asked about R2 and thats what I was talking about. They just needed to get him out of the way I think, hence the shoehorned story.

Kakashi is as well loved in-universe as a typical gary stu, but he's simply not that kick ass, which is what ultimately keeps him from being a gary stu. His abilities are extolled, but he's not in the least bit invincible, is often on the losing end of taijutsu portion of fights, has the stamina of an old man and in general his fights tend to be on the more boring side for the male cast.

More or less I agree.

That's his only problem, I think. He's kind of boring.

Well I went into Code Geass thinking he would kill his Dad at the end of season 1 so I was just wondering how they were gonna get there so quickly.

Indeed you did. This is another point to the Death Note side. When Light finally defeated L, it was admittedly satisfying regardless of who you were rooting for.

Peter did it better. And for more than just one world. While keeping the sword of Damocles held high. 313

Imo, Lelouch should have won season 1. It would have been cool to see him actually in charge of Japan for a while, like when he's in charge of his island but better.

Yeah, L's defeat was very well handled. Its better in the anime where he knows whats going to happen but he can't do anything about it.

I'm going back to Fullmetal Alchemist now. I'm about halfway through. It isn't as good as people say it is, though is that a case of Brotherhood being better? IDK.

By PIS you mean his MS is extremely situational and only works if he's got the drop on someone? In the time it would take for him to focus his MS on someone (especially if they're a moving target) either one would instantly rape him with their trolo unbeatable Tsukoyomi or their Amatserasu, the former having beaten him before and the latter of which moves so fast that only one character in the entire mythos has moved fast enough to dodge it.

There's also the matter of his stamina which is so shitty that using his MS even once completely drains his energy and makes him useless, whereas the other two can spam their abilities all day and night.
