Lol I agree with your rephrased comment Peach. The future of our country and others is being torn apart because of a lot of irresponsible children or misbehaving children. In my opinion, Adult Swim is something for people purely meant for ages 13+ though.. I might increase that to age 17+ because from most of the people I've run into, maturity doesn't kick in until that age. Before that you have people acting on a whim. Then again that's why I don't own television, lmao.

Irresponsible parents, not irresponsible children. Kids don't get that way if parents are actually involved and supervising them. "Those damn kids!" is an argument that every generation makes and has made for all of history, btw.
And there's a lot of stuff on Adult Swim that I wouldn't be comfortable with most kids under 15 watching. Sure, ultimately it's up to the individual kid and parent, but a lot of it is not kid appropriate.
Also, El-oh-****ing-el at maturity kicking in at 17 and people just acting on a whim before that. People act on a whim at any and every age, and 17 year olds are not very mature. Nor are 20 year olds.
Only thing parents can really do to control what their kids watch is with that stupid content blocking feature on the t.v. What with parents wanting to sleep and all at like 11. At least in my case. Course, the kid has a decent chance of figuring out how to change it so back to square one.
And I never showed any interest in Adult Swim until I was like...14? Maybe? Idr.

Or parents could actually be involved with their children. If there's an atmosphere of mutual respect and care, children will listen when parents explain that they should wait until they're a bit older.
Worked with me.
EDIT: I found Adult Swim when I was... 16? They were running Trigun and Cowboy Bebop back-to-back when we had to stay at my aunt's house before moving into our new one.

Eh. I still don't get the appeal from a kids perspective. I watched Adult Swim once when I was young and it was Home Movies. Freaking hated it because it was ugly.

Yeah, same.
Nothing was ever actively hidden from me as a kid - I grew up playing video games and watched X-Files when I was 7 years old, FFS - but generally my parents were around enough that they knew what I was doing/watching and if they said I should wait until I was a bit older for something, I actually listened.
As a result, I got a surprising amount of freedom as I got older, since I had shown that I was capable of listening and taking responsibility ๐
Some of my friends watched Insidious recently. Mixed opinions on it. Thoughts?

That would make you seem a lot like Big Daddy. But worse.

I would, but I wouldn't be proud of myself for feeling that way.
Hey, your kid took over the world. Clearly evil is in your blood.
