Idk. I can see finding it boring. But then again, when you think of how dangerous it is, it's pretty freaking cool. These guys are putting their lives on the line for competition and that is interesting to me.

Considering it falls within the definition of "sport," can't see why people wouldn't consider it one.

That applies to all sports though. Among other things. Nascar is just a helluva lot more dangerous. And exciting, if one takes the perspective of the driver.
