Peach, what RPGs would you consider good, out of curiosity?I hear you talk about games you dislike a lot, but rarely games you like. mmm

That's because when it comes down to it, there aren't many games I do like.
Lost Odyssey. Final Fantasy X. Any of the Dragon Warrior/Dragon Quest games. Diablo/Diablo II, though I really think the hack and slash RP genre is dead and should be allowed to stay that way.

Ehhh. Not a fan of action RPGs. I've tried plenty, I just...don't like them. I prefer to stick with old-school turn-based games.Besides, there's no US release for it, and my Wii would be a paperweight if not for my siblings.
Well you have really specific taste then.
Personally I tend to judge a game based on characters and storyline rather than gameplay mechanics. Don't care if its turn-based or action or wierd hybrid of the two a la FF12.

Yes, I do. This is not news ๐
Story and characters are important, but so is gameplay. I can struggle through gameplay I dislike to an extent, but if it's to the point of dreading every. single. battle (and there's always tons in RPGs), then it's just not worth it.

In DA in particular I liked all the companion characters a lot. Same with ME. Liara 4 lyfe!
And DA had the best party banter ever. Morrigan and Alistair had me cracking up!
BTW, in Game of Thrones, what the **** is up with that witch who screwed over Drogo? The hell? I get that she was raped but why take it out on the one person who tried to help you ya *****.
I sometimes also judge a game by its characters and Dragon Age II had some bad ones and I'm talking about the companions. An Elf that looked like he came straight from Final Fantasy, a female barbarian version of He-Man, an emo Mage, a prostitute who works for free, an emo brother/annoying sister, and a Mage Elf who lacks social skills. The only character in there I liked was Varric. Compared to my pigeon hating Golem, my sultry swamp witch, stone cold Qunari, Rogue who dreams of joining the opera one day, drunk Dwarf and wisecracking Templar, the allies in DAII are pretty boring.

This feels like one of those extremely vague horoscopes that could apply to anyone. I got some things that matched, and some that were so far off it was kinda funny.
Originally posted by Nemesis XI liked the elf warrior he was the coolest character in part 2 but as a whole part 2 was pathetic when comparing it to the first. On it's own I still enjoyed it as a game but when gauging it expectation wise it fell short in every way possible.
