I know somebody who had a similar experience except the dog he had wasn't sick but it was old and blind. Thinking the dog couldn't make it while moving from one town to another, he dropped it off at some pound to have it put to sleep and before he could get in his car and leave, he hears his dog howling for it's owner. ****ed him up.

I'm planning on getting a tattoo of her pawprint. I just wish we had the pawprints of my cat (who died nearly 10 years ago and yet I still get teary thinking about him) and the first dog we had (who my mom got before I was born and died when I was 19), so I could get all three of them.
