Being a refreshing break from the trend of crap cartoons/kid's shows that have been coming out lately?

General Kaliero F = ma, beeyotches.

I will definitely say that while I sincerely like the show, the brony culture that has arisen is something I don't want to be a part of, apart from laughing at image macros.

Seriously. When women are made so uncomfortable in communities about something that was made for them that they make their own to avoid the disgustingness that is guys in fandom, you know you have some huge problems.

Bronies are some of the worst I've ever seen, and I've been online and involved with fandom for nearly 15 years. It's that bad.

I do find it interesting that there are some pretty well known VA's in MLP that perk my interest. Also I found out that a decent chunk of some of these people were also VA"s for Death Note too.

Exactly, you hit the nail on the head. It's the taboo nature of the shows unintended demographic that is mainly responsible for its spread appeal.

She's saying that there is a noticeable amount of bronies who are disgusting, and when one makes Lauren Faust ponysona porn and a bunch of bronies fap about it and talk about how much they want to **** Lauren Faust, she has a point.

Though she seems to believe that only the guys are subject to behavior like this. Which I find just hilarious.

Except that's not bronies as a whole, that's one smaller part of the fandom, which has people of both genders in it. 😐

There's an equally large or even bigger section that actively gets MAD at that behaviour. Also predominantly male. :/
