Taki and Xianhua (who were the two I used the most - their styles, at least, anyway) are gone, but I actually prefer their replacements. Not huge differences in the playstyle, but the little things add up. GK was complaining at me earlier when I was using a character based on Leixia because she's just so damn fast 😄
Mi-na I liked a lot, though, so sucks that she's gone.

Amy's gone, though she's probably the new character with amnesia who looks just like her and is the same age.
Zasalamel is gone. Rock is gone. Setsuka is gone (though the new main's second style is based on her). Sophitia is dead and Cassandra gone. Talim is gone, which is probably the worst affront to me personally. Yun-Seong is gone. And of course Seong Mi-Na.
I'm hoping they'll be added back in through DLC, but I'd hate Namco at the same time because that's just theft.

Xiba's the only replacement that bugs me, and that's because I ****ing love using a staff and his style is too...over the top and ridiculous for my tastes. But it's the only option I have for a staff-wielder. I got annoyed when I unlocked Kilik and went to change my character to him and couldn't because wtf Edgemaster. I want staff-wielding Kilik, damnit!
The other replacements I prefer over their originals, though.
Mi-na was the only one that's gone entirely I ever used, though I got grouchy earlier at Zasalamel being gone simply because it means I can't make a scythe-wielder.
I never got attached to the actual characters themselves, though; just their fighting styles.
