How is it my problem when the game does a good job of overly complicating things? Granted, story-wise MGS (PS1) and MGS 4 had the best in-game events, but MGS 3 sucked balls. I'm not the only one who thought this. It gets stupid with the whole idea of, again, overly complicating things so that people who do think they get it I guess feel really good about themselves cuz they prolly think they're smart. Maybe I just like my games alittle more streamlined and to the point, not to where they become a cliche, cuz there aren't any of those in MGS already, heh. If they were to can the cloning crap and dealt with just espionage and conspiracies, it'd be a better game imo, but we got what we got. Doing stealth kills and choking mo'fos and taking out big ass mechs is what keeps me coming back.I feel the same way for Kingdom Hearts, I love the gameplay, summons and boss battle, but f*ck it's storyline.
Are you... Sure you are referring to MGS3?
MGS3 had one of the more streamlined and simple stories, pretty straight-forward really.
Certainly much less convoluted than Hideo Kojima's ragefest that was MGS2.

Didn't MGS4 make it so that Liquid taking over Ocelot through his transplanted arm was really just Ocelot hallucinating the entire thing because he was insane?...god, I just typed that. This story is so stupid.
No, he effectively hypnotised himself into taking on Liquid's persona.
Anyone who is under the impression that MGS as a game or as a story is sub-par, if only by game standards, is deluding themself.
I mean, I think the story is pretty good, and I am far smarter than all of you.
