So am I

So this morning is the last chance to buy things on Steam for sale.

I for some reason woke at 5am and couldn't sleep, so I got on steam to check it out. I found the game Another World (Out of this World) on there. One of my favorite old games, brutally difficult but amazing. Purchased immediately. Good times.

I've bought Torchlight II, The Walking Dead, Sins of a Solar Empire Trinity and Mark of the Ninja so far. Not bad for under 20 pounds.

I got Torchlight 2 also, the only reason I didn't get Sins is because the first one ate my entire life. I had to ban myself from all RTS after that. Sins is probably my favorite RTS of all time. Total War series coming in second.

Also Farcry 3: Blood Dragon, looks amazing. I picked it up this morning also, can't wait to try it.

Someone wanna help me on Kratos vs Lightning, someone's trying to argue against Kratos time slow resisting feat

Not posting in that god awful format of a forum.

I'm more than willing to do so here though, in the appropriate thread.

Kratos is fast enough to move through a major time dilation that is either time stop or as 'close' to time stop as possible in our eyes, as shown via said time dilation's effect on a tentacle moving either subsonic or just over sonic speeds. Dev confirmed.

Kratos also resisted true time stop in God of War 2 when he moved
through it in the Spire of the Fates after he jumped into the opening after the Phoenix brought him close. He has a fate amulet on him in his personal hammer space, and that never went anywhere.

They also are misusing and misunderstanding the implication of 'mental speed' in claiming Kratos lacks that in tandem with his 'reaction' speed, when mental speed is half the equation in reaction speed (the other half of course is muscle speed) in the first place, as without proportionate mental speed your own body's movement will either feel too slow or too fast. Kratos does not see his own body as too fast for him, his speed is proportionate to his mental speed.

Kratos is more durable than Atlas, who was able to tank the destruction of the Pillar of the World from the very center of the explosion, as well as more durable than Gaia. Atlas was still hurt by Poseidon's lightning despite his great durability, and Gaia withstood Poseidon's lightning about equally as well, (except she faced an even stronger form of Poseidon), whereas Kratos tanked Zeus' lightning and Gaia's arm was near torn.

Kratos lifted something like a 10 ton door. Guys hella strong.

Only Kodiak Bears are stronger than Kratos.

Everything is stronger than a Gorilla though.

Where do you rank the badger? The honeyless variety mmm

Probably just under top ten.

Polar > Kodiak

Atlas bear >

You can't beat a bear with four forearms.

I feel like someone should just press the "Kain can't handle fire" point as hard as possible, but I am sadly unfamiliar with any fire based abilities Kratos and Dante may or may not have. There's no counter to it except "they never use it" despite him being fine with Kain using the Dimension Reaver he's never used.

So yeah, what fire powers do each of them have?

Polar bears have four arms. And no legs.

Nah

Polar Bears have smaller heads, smaller claws, and smaller shoulder bumps proportionately.

They are also overly insulated, so unless its really, really cold they can overheat from exertion.

Put a Kodiak and a Polar Bear in a fight at like even 35 degrees fahrenheit, and the latter is going to fade very quickly from heat build up.

Dante has the Ifrit Gauntlets at least. Don't remember what else.

And Kratos' blades are said to emit a supernatural fire by default. Also, Apollo's bow.

Proportionately but still larger over all. Polar bears are strictly predatory unlike other bears, and are the only animal I know of that kills its prey with a punch to the head that crushes its skull.

I don't speak F, but that sounds like 0. During the warmer months Polar bears actually do just fine, put them in a temperature neutral situation and my money is on the bear that can falcon punch.

Kratos has Bow of Apollo, Atlas quake, Blades of [something with fire attribute] and the Fire of Ares.

Dante has explosives (grenades, rockets), Item that powers his swords with fire, Agni (half of the Firestorm blades, other is wind) and the Ifrit hellfire gauntlets.

Either should be able to incinerate Kain.

Good, good. Now all I really need to do is make a decent argument that they will use these weapons, or just point it out in Kratos' case. Shouldn't be too hard considering the cutscenes. Hm, wonder if there's a 'basic knowledge' clause I can make use of...

I'll get on this once I don't have to navigate the site on a mobile.

In the same way that Kain doesn't use any of his other abilities, some not even in cutscenes.

Still annoying at how 'tanking' Raziel who barely flipped 300 tons makes him more durable than a Savior crushing Dante of Titan wrestling Kratos 😐

I'm annoyed by how Raziel hurting Kain in Soul Reaver and ripping his heart out in Defiance don't count for some reason. 2 counts of injury in cutscene vs. 1 'tanking' shouldn't mean super durability. Don't even need a calculation to realize that flaw. Still, fire bypasses it anyway so I just won't worry about it too much.

Doesn't Kratos have some Poseidon ability with water?
