I came to think of something. If Zeus and the other GoW Gods are not allowed, can you imagine how many other game-characters that are not? I mean, there are plenty of characters out there that are inspired/copied from other types of stories. Diablo for one, he is the devil himself. Therefore should Diablo not be allowed in versus, since he is an alternative version of the devil, just like GoW Zeus is an alternative version of Zeus of Greek Mythology.

We also have Kain, Raziel, Jedah and Blood, all being vampires. Vampires was thought up a long time before video games was ever invented. Kain and those are only alternative versions.

We have the amazons, barbarians, paladins, sorceresses, druids, assassins and such from Diablo, also inspired from out-of-game sources, only an alternative version.

Dante is a vampire slayer. Sure were many of those back in the days, even before there was computer games.

My point is that not allowing threads with Zeus from GoW because Zeus is originally not a video game character would also restrict plenty of characters to be used. About all Diablo characters, that is for sure. All about all GoW characters and plenty of others 😛

There's a big difference between Zeus, who is an actual mythological character and barely changed from the mythology in GoW, and characters that happen to be vampires or druids or amazons. I would think that was extremely obvious.

because for one Zeus in GOW battles Kratos on a mountain, often hand to hand, Zeus in Mythology would punched that mountain down....or just turn Kratos into an animal, their very diffrent imo, the developers on the game CD's in the "in the making" section say they create the characters to be close to mytholgy but very much their own characters
