You'll live 😉

@bt what dj said was perfect. lol, absolutely PERFECT.

It makes no sense, most people on here are bias, if not everyone.

Well it depends; bias, yea, but so bias to the point where they keep arguing and only concede when there is no other option, that only a fanboy/girl does. And on that topic i dont think everyone is bias, maybe 95% of everyone can be bias, but there are only a select few people who are bias in every debate they get in.

Ofcourse there is, I asure you that shes talking nonsense, mainly because the quote directly claims Kain regulates the magic of Nosgoth with his own magical influence, theres hardly any other defintion of relevence to regulation...nobody has come up with anything more than poorly made analogies, all the defintions from the free Dictionary to Oxford back up the defintion of Regulation to the degree that would make me correct.

A conclusion you've come to by using said fallacies. There are more definitions. You just don't like them.

What are you referring to? What NemeBro said? Makes perfect sense.

"shrug", most people I debate with are bias, they will always have more interest in steering the debate in the favour of their chosen character, i do it all the time as well, although that does not make me a fanboy does it, anyone can be bias.

If someone keeps arguing it can easily be a matter of pride or they don't want to look foolish in front of their buddies by admitting being wrong, usually its only the very young and foolish who keep arguing like this, and truth be told, theres a lot on this forum who would argue for the sake of arguing, but they don't have to be fanboys/girls. They could just be egotistical people with insecurity.

Please...please please please show me one for gods sake, people keep going on about these many many definitions, yet Oxford and all these other dictionaries ive checked over have perhaps one or two differences with what ime trying to say and they often come down to something ridiculous or out of context such as a rule in sport for one, or the growth of an Embryo

Of course not. One property that match doesn't make a whole.

Explain yourself, that comment did not make sense to me, what I said was true, you wouldnt stop argueing if you had a high sense of self or did not want to let your "audiance" down. It has nothing to do with loving a character to such a high degree, that may be the reason someone enters into a debate but to continue to debate, its a lot to assume that someone is a fanboy just because they are bias and argue constantly.

Merely because bias falls into the fanboy category, doesn't mean that everyone who is bias is a fanboy. That's the whole concept of the previously brought up fallacy | Affirming the Consequent | ; if A, then B; B, therefore A.

Then his defintion doesnt make sense, its a fallacy....

His whole defintion is based around someone being bias, and who argues a lot...he threw in "great love in their character" which is the only thing that is obvious to a fanboy, but its not good for a defintion, its a given.

For example the only things true in his defintion are the immediatley obvious ones:

You can be bias without arguing a lot (Or at all). To reject his definition by that alone is a fallacy in itself.

And you can be a bias malicious argument monger and not be near being a fan, let alone a fanboy of the subject matter....thus his definition is redundant except the parts I quoted in my last post.

His definition, in my eyes, couldnt have been said better. Being bias doesnt not make you a fanboy/girl, but if tooken to the extreme everytime said character is mentioned, then it does.

"If someone keeps arguing it can easily be a matter of pride or they don't want to look foolish in front of their buddies by admitting being wrong, usually its only the very young and foolish who keep arguing like this, and truth be told, theres a lot on this forum who would argue for the sake of arguing, but they don't have to be fanboys/girls. I agree with this as well.

Well its not fair to consider his opinion as definition, just an opinion on what could make a fanboy, a definition usually has to be exact description of the subject does it not?

For instance, his definition is pretty much claiming that people who are debate mongers and bias are fanboys, which ofcourse is not true, however as I quoted a few posts above, love for a character and the continuation even when arguments are smashed and non existent are fanboys.

Here, I'll end the discussion.

Fanboy = Burning thought.

GK, you just won my undying love. No homo.

Kaliero, give me a link to the Brutal Legend thread. I tried looking for it but your search function is incredibly bad.
