No, a friend of mine has Yahoo, and the connection sucks ass.

Also, SSBB Zelda is really the exact same one as in Twilight Princess.

If that's true, then it doesn't have to be SSBB Zelda (Can be Twilight Princess). I just like the outfit and quality of her in my signature and avatar ๐Ÿ™‚

You mean it wasn't blatantly obvious he was Gumachi?

And you agree with whose definition of fanboy? BT's?

Eh, i was gone for a month, said it was him, and he denied it, but yes from the way he debated i would have sworn it was him.

I don't necessarily agree with the webster definition, either.

Considering that the term fanboy/fangirl is slang, then a proper dictionary is not the best place to get a definition for it.

this pretty much sums up why the actual definition cant be used.

I agree with bt about all of it, including the fact when he says hes not a fanboy. Despite a lot of the people here on the forums, hes one of the few that actually make sense. The only part i dont agree with bt on is the fact of what a fanboy/girl does in a debate. That i solely agree with dj, i mean look at what he put:
"Fanboys usually do debate their character, although they do not factor being reasonable or being logical into their arguments. They are driven by bias and love for their character, refusing to believe that they can lose. The extent of fanboyism varies however, casual fanboys will still argue against the odds but apply some logic and reason into their arguments and concede when defeat is inevitable, but then there are fanboys like Phenomenol(DBZ fanboy) for example who will argue against all odds after having their argument smashed to pieces no matter the opposition."

This, something only a mutha****in genius would put, is what i agree with, and he put into words in an absolutely perfect fashion.

I'm a mutha****in genius?

**** YEAH!

**** yes, thats absolutely the soul definition of what a fanboy/girl is, couldnt have said it better. Maybe you should work for webster thumbs_up

I second that. 'tis was easily the best definition of a fanboy I've seen by far, and that South Park example was golden.

And I see Phenomenol still hasn't been forgotten. haha Not only was he a DBZ fanboy, but he also make claims like Cyclops's optic blasts being able to kill Superman, Frieza (final form) being able to kill Juggernaut by telekinetically tossing him into space, etc. The guy was hilarious in every way possible.

No, using illogical debates and fallacies in your arguments to try to prove your character superior makes you a fanboy.

A fanboy is not simply someone who repeatedly claims their character wins...Who does that? Fanboys usually do debate their character, although they do not factor being reasonable or being logical into their arguments. They are driven by bias and love for their character, refusing to believe that they can lose. The extent of fanboyism varies however, casual fanboys will still argue against the odds but apply some logic and reason into their arguments and concede when defeat is inevitable, but then there are fanboys like Phenomenol(DBZ fanboy) for example who will argue against all odds after having their argument smashed to pieces no matter the opposition. Those are the two extremes however, and obviously most fall in the middle at varying extents. THAT is the forum definition of a fanboy.

BT is only arguing against this because he is called a fanboy so often and absolutely refuses to accept it. He believes only he is correct in his assessment of himself and that everyone else is wrong, that he is simply far more intelligent and better than everyone else despite what many people(most) are saying. Which reminds me of a recent South Park episode. The theme of the episode was that truly egotistical individuals would do anything they can to protect their egos and actually convince themselves of their own superiority over others. BT does this quite often, he truly believes that he is right and everyone who criticizes him is wrong.

Being a fanboy is nothing to do with being illogical, some of them often are, but majorly the "idiotic" fanboy that Cowgirl mentioned, the sort you mention Phenomenol as.

Although most of what you say here is opinion, in the end its an opinon on whos odds, although in the end,its impossible to claim someone a fanboy on a forum unless they either admit it, or claim their character the winnner regardless of the odds, e.g:

Pyron wins. I don't give a shit what you say.

I think its obvious its a joke (....it was was it not?) but if you were serious, this is the sort of typical true fanboy argument, if you were serious.

I am not a fanboy, i simply debate for Kain against odds when I can continue to debate, and I always often do, nobody can defeat most of my arguments and their only arguments against mine are usually their opinions, not actual arguments, after that, calling me a fanboy or impossibly bias is the only way people can imagine a defeat against me. They cannot defeat me in an argument and so result in calling me a fanboy or impossible to debate with, this is shown as wrong, because people have debated with me before, sometimes successfully.

K1ll3r is a fairly recent fanboy, looking through the Sarg/Archimonde thread he makes things up, Fascist crusader and to a lesser degree Terry are as well, they will continue to claim their favoured characters the winner regardless of the rest of the debate, for example K1ll3r is sitting in the Sephiroth VS thread claiming hes going to slice through all these high powered characters, hes not interested in what they can do, what they have done.....hes just claiming Sephiroth can do something even when hes done nothing close, thats fanboyism.

There are no lies in that quote. I asure you. This post of mine comes with no intentions to be against Burning Thought. Merely with NemeBro.

Ofcourse there is, I asure you that shes talking nonsense, mainly because the quote directly claims Kain regulates the magic of Nosgoth with his own magical influence, theres hardly any other defintion of relevence to regulation...nobody has come up with anything more than poorly made analogies, all the defintions from the free Dictionary to Oxford back up the defintion of Regulation to the degree that would make me correct.

How is Killer a bigger fanboy than Terry and Fascist? I've actually seen Killer concede points. ๐Ÿ˜ Terry by contrast spent 60 pages in the Sephiorth vs Link thread making things up. Facist never actually debates, he just says "____ wins."

Ive debated with terry many times and he actually tries to make sense of his answers and makes points, a lot of it is rubbish true but Killer doesnt even try, he concedes some things against me in one thread and brings it up again later, the guy is saying Sephiroth could cut through Sargeras in a slash and is debating it consistently, I dont think even Terry would claim that....

Terry tried to claim Sephiroth is physicly stronger than say... Kratos.

But whats more important, is not what he claimed, its what he tried to show to provide for this, I would have to look at it myself, maybe Terry has gotten worse but that claim alone does not make him a fanboy, it makes him perhaps misinformed or ignorant. Hopefully he had a good reason for the claim.

And actually Terry tried to claim it vs Kil'Jaeden.

Edit; by "it" I mean that Sephiroth could just slice through him.

i think most of the Sephiroth fanboys have a lack of understanding on their own universe and try and claim things without evidence, such as Sephiroth gaining control of all materia, or that Sephiroths negative lifestream can defeat anything and everything.

Haha, mind if I quote that?

No, be my guest ๐Ÿ˜‰
