I am not sure what level of beings you are talking about. Odin nailed Surfer with the utmost ease, and wouldn't have even flinched if it had been all the herald levelers who took on Tyrant. Thanos launced a full blast at Odin, at the same time as SS and Odin didn't even move. Also I don't think you can judge this on pure power. I think Thanos was impressive against both, but I don't see how you can use their two encounters as a sole basis for judgement.
Surtur also has a much different power source than Tyrant.

Doesn't matter because he is biased and doesn't use logic. Here's what he thinks.
Odin and Tyrant fought Thanos. Nevermind the circumstances regarding the fights. Tyrant made Thanos run. Odin didn't. Therefore, Tyrant MUST be more powerful than Odin. However, Galactus made Thanos BEG for his life after just one shot. But Quanchi still believes Tyrant is more powerful than Galactus and kicked his ass.
That's his "logic" for you.

Exactly. Which is why it's so stupid to bring in the Tyrant/Galactus fight. Tyrant was capable of absorbing Galactus' energy. That is the ONLY reason why he won. Since he can't do that against Surtur, he will lose the majority.

Well one could argue that he turned the energy attack that Galactus used into a source for him to devour but its important IMO to remember that the blast clear On Panel HURTED Tyrant, so first Pain, Torment, agony and then he absorbs the energy 😄

Yeah, I also think that saying Tyrant was winning is exaggerating. However, it shouldn't be used as a feat to say that Tyrant can hang with Abstract level beings, because he can't.

tyrant isnt more powerful than galactus but does have the power and the means to beat him. tyrant did better against thanos than odin did. surtur is roughly at odins level. therefore tyrant could beat surtur.

Just something to point out. Tyrant's power level is extremely high to be able to absorb Galactus's attacks when none of his other creations can hardly stand his might at all. He would dispose of Surfer and any other herald with ease but Tyrant can manage to hang with him.
