Even after Tyrant absorbed Galactus' first attack, Galactus still imprisioned him like nothing. It wasn't until Tyrant reversed Galactus' machine to simultaneously empower himself AND drain Galactus that he got the upper hand.

You don't know what would have happened if Thanos had that orb in the Odin fight, so stop speculating.

Yes, it is half visuals, and the visuals show Thanos hurt Tyrant with his own fists as well as the orb. I'm not doubting he used it. But he used his own power also, and it hurt Tyrant.

Scan 1: Tyrant blasts Galactus in the face. No visible damage.

Scan 2: Galactus blasts Tyrant, whom is visibly in pain. It's stated that Tyrant momentarily doubts his decision to face Galactus. Tyrant states he absorbs the energy.

Scan 3: Galactus punches Tyrant. Tyrant scratches Galactus' finger. Galactus grabs Tyrant and locks him up to his machine and shuts him up.

Scan 4: Galactus uses his machine to try absorbing Tyrant's power. Tyrant reverses it to absorb Galactus and empower himself.

Scan 5: Tyrant cuts Galactus' face. He's about to cut him again, and Morg interrupts.

How in the f*ck can anyone fool themselves into believing Tyrant had a chance in hell against Galactus before tech was used?

Galactus used the tech because he got tired of the confrontation as mentioned.

Tyrant absorbed the energy that was used AGAINST him he didn't absorb it directly from Galactus and the scan shows that a single eyeblast from Galactus hurted Tyrant, he absorbed it true but it still hurted him. Also strange isn't it that Galactus didn't absorb it right back which is within his powerset but ....

That can be many things, are you believing that the Silver Surfer is capable of comprehending what Galactus is feeling IMO ❌ but for Surfer its easiest to describe it as being fear.
