Protein can be gotten from plant souces. It's B-12 that they need. I used to be one for health reasons. And I did get quite healthy.Oh, and yellow flowers are great. Love em.

Can a lack of B-12 cause anorexia or make it worse?
Originally posted by miss_swannI don't know, but I have read that it can cause neurological problems such as depression as I've mentioned. Now someone with neurological problems might view things differently and tend to be off based on their thinking which could lead to self image perceptions and maybe anorexia as a result. Not sure.

By taking supplements or eating enriched foods there should be no problem right?do microorganisms count on the no animal product thing?
A number of reliable vegan food sources for vitamin B12 are known. One brand is nutritional yeast. It's very good, kind of tastes like cheese and can be used in may recipes...You sprinkle it on sandwiches, gravies, pastas, potatoes.......anything really.
