^ Actually, the black materia was just to make a wound on earth, so the earth can heal itself, while him being in the middle of the process absorbing everything

He used his "Supernova" to destroy those planets which is NOT black materia, black materia = "Meteor"

Are you really saying that the FFVII party can survive the Solar System's destruction? Cloud gets cut by swords mane. Supernova is an illusion.

^ Why not? The other planets blowing up doesnt all of a sudden make the party die, Sephiroth's doesnt blow up earth, it wasnt his objective.

If summons r an illusion, meteor might as well be an illusion, and the whole game would be pointless, trying to stop an illusion? Nope doesnt make sense.

No, Supernova is an illusion, as is the background of the whole fight.

wut makes supernova summon an illusion, and the rest of the summons in the game real? Because u say so? Because u cannot believe that he destroyed planets? Do u have proof that its an illusion? Or is it just UR assumption?

Supernova is just a gameplay move.

Inability to spell ftw.

No, we don't have proof, and it's our assumption because the background for the fight wasn't real.

Also, the argument that Cloud and friends get cut up by swords isn't proof. All of the attacks in Final Fantasy don't create a single scratch on the characters in-game. They just lose health points. Supernova deals a sh!t load of damage, and health points generally speaking are bs because a character can have up to 999999 HP etc. and beyond.

Well, I think Supernova is an illusion cause Cloud and friends cannot survive a f*ckin Solar System's destruction, and neither can Seph.

Is it that hard to simply disregard the move because it has only been performed in gameplay?

Well really if we disreguard the move we might as well disreguard Safer Seph as well.

I say why not?

The whole thing was stupid enough.

Well, you do have a point. I think it may be for the best to just disreguard him, as he f*cks up debates.

If u put things that way, alot of things in video games dont make sense, yes, you dont see cloud getting any scratches throughout the game when he gets slashed, but in other games, you can play as a character and accidently fall into a bottomless pit, then all of a sudden appear back on the ground with just HP taken off.

a LOT of things in video games dont make sense and doesnt syncronize with real life, you would think a LARGE bahamut zero blast from outer space should really destroy the whole battlefield while playing, but does it even make a hole in the ground? No, it just does damage; however, even though it doesnt make sense, its still not considered an illusion, its just a video game.

Face it, things in video games just dont make sense if u try to compare it with real life, so if it doesnt make sense or is too unreal, it doesnt mean its an illusion, it just means its a video game.

I pretty much agree with this. The only thing that bothers me though is the background which wasn't real (The fight seemingly taking place somwhere in the sky when it actually took place in Jenova's crator). I wish there was a way that I can contact Nomura about this...f*ck it!

^ well the background doesnt have to be fake, like i said things dont make sense, that angelic sephiroth could've brought them into the sky, its not impossible to do in the world of final fantasy

it seems similar to this neo bahamut

Ew@Safer Sephiroth.

Now I'm more convinced that the Supernova is real.

God no.

You can disbelieve it as much as you want. Pretty much everything Terryc has said if you bothered to read explains why it just might be a real attack as opposed to an illusionary one.

He merely described gameplay mechanics. If that made you have a hard-on fine by me, but it takes more than that to convince me, sorry.
