I have read all of your feeble posts, so just shut up. That's only one reason for why it may of been an illusion, why do you not realize that I did not say it really was, I gave three things it is, either it's an illusion, it's noncanon, or it's HIGHLY exaggerated, I repeat myself because you fail to listen to reason. Do you really think Cloud and friends can survive the heat of the sun? Answer that question. Less has been shown to kill or wound them badly(Seph's masamune and a materia enhanced gun count as less).

SEE, these r reasons why i swear you don't read my posts, IVE ANSWERED ALL THESE, and i dont know why i keep repeating myself but i will again

1)You don't have any evidence it is an illusion, its just YOUR assumption
2) AC proves that summons r cannon
3) Never has a summon been "highly exaggerated", when a summon is shown on a cutscenes, its actually the opposite.

For the 80th time, ITS GAMEPLAY MECHANICS, Do you really think small creatures can survive a giant bahamut blast from outer space? NO but they do anyway, its all gameplay mechanics.

1. I do have evidence, tho I admit this is the least likely of the three.

2. I never said summons were not canon, only that Supernova may not be.

3. In a way, they are. Think about it, would the enemy really just stand there and take the summons attack full force? F*ck no, they'd try to dodge it.

Bahamut in AC showed no where near the power that summons in the game do. Summons in the game just show up and do some powered attack and leave, when in AC they stay and fight. That is also what makes using gameplay mechanics in debates bullshit. What makes you think that Bahamut is canon then? If the player had that kind of monster with him that could do that, then almost every fight the characters have in the game would be easy, and Supernova IS NOT a f*ckin summon!

K, I'm going to tell Saad to request the closure of this thread.

Why can't you request for it?

Because it isn't my thread. It's how I was able to close my Rugal Bernstein vs. Ryu Hayabusa thread. Thread creators have that privilege, not others.

Oh.

1) You have no evidence, ur evidence is: "the background has clouds in it therefore supernova is an illusion"
2) That makes no sense, why is the supernova summon singled out to be the only non-cannoned summon?
3) I'm talking about he POWER of the summon, they are NOT highly exaggerated during gameplay, all the do is a single attack whereas in a cannon'd situation the summon is waay more realistic.

Exactly, the bahamut in AC seemed more powerful and realistic, terrorizing a city, whereas the gameplay one like had no mind, it just came, did an attack and left, the one in AC did more then one attack and had a mind of its own destroying everything and everyone. I dont see how u think the gameplay one seemed more powerful.

Look at it for urself:
Gameplay:

AC:

Another example from FFIX
Gameplay:

During Cutscene:

Cutscene is clearly more realistic and seems more powerful, there is no "exaggeration" during gameplay.

Final Fantasy Advent Children makes Bahamut cannon, what else would?

Then what is Supernova? A magic attack? Since when do characters fade out and a cutscene happens during magic attacks? Never, those only happen during summon attacks, why else would supernova be known as a summon?

This time, listen to what I'm saying, kay?
1. No, clearly the heavenly background is an illusion, cause we know the fight does not take place in heaven. Like I said tho, this is the least likely reason.
2. Because it's the one that would be completely impossible for Cloud and friends to survive.
3.The single attack they do in gameplay is stronger than any singular attack they would do in a cutscene(I'm pretty much just talkin bout Bahamut since that is the only summon we see not in gameplay).

Was Bahamut in AC a giant dragon in space that shot a giant deathray of deathly deathness at Earth? No, so how is it stronger again? Also, why are you posting stuff from FFIX to help your case? They're totally different games. No exaggeration during gameplay? The fact that only three characters fight, and take turns hitting eachother doesn't seem exaggerated to you? That fact that you can "level up" isn't an exaggeration? Enemies are not limited to the same type's of attacks as players, it is not a summoning.

I would like this thread to be closed. Thank you.

Finally...
