Carver one, the TV show ain't canon. Two even if it was it still didn't show him individually blocking a billion blades. Three we don't know the speed at which they were traveling and four Diana would curbstomp his ass.

How?

The Manga is canon to the anime. You can't use non Canon scenes outside of the Manga. That scene was canon to the Manga. As for your other statement, itwas stated he blocked "ALL" of the blades. What we know is, he had a second to react, within a second, he blocked 100's of millions of blades. Diana isn't doing that and has never shown she could do that either.

Astroboy is stronger and more durable.

I've never considered this. H'm. Some quick/rough/speculative calculations...

Astroboy (afaik) is rated at 100,000 horsepower. That's about 75 megawatts (or "only" 40% the engine power of a nuclear aircraft carrier). Iron Man has never generated more power than this?

It's also the equivalent of 700,000 - 800,000 manpower (1 manpower being about 100 watts). Given that the average man can military press under 100 pounds, an 800,000-manpower entity could press, at best, about 40,000 tons. Iron Man has never lifted more than this?

Plus, Tony's got a lot versatility in his armor(s). Astroboy's (again, afaik) is far less.

So, as much as I like Astroboy (he was my first favorite "superhero" when I was a kid), I'm not so sure he has the win here.

No anime version of any shonen manga is canon.

Manga is the canon source we use they alter anime shows too much and they are created after the Manga is released also the Bleach anime has been canceled so who cares. I would give the edge to Tony against Astro.

I love how you conveniently forget when she blocks lightspeed attacks.

Such deep, arching knowledge of Wonder Woman there.

Considering the current forum rules this thread should be re-pinned.

The anime is canon to the Manga. Don't understand why you don't get this. Anything done in the anime that wasnt done in the manga isn't Canon. What Ichigo did was shown in the anime AND the manga. The ft is canon. Him blocking millions of blade within a second is canon.

Diana isn't repeating what he did.

Guys, I think first of all it needs to decided whether the manga and anime are canon, or just the manga. Opinions?

not really. use the manga to argue, but if the anime is consistent with the manga you could use it cause then you get to see time and stuff like that a little better.

filler arcs are non-canon, and fight extension using filler scenes are shaky at best. anime also has censorship so entire episodes or classic shows can be missing

Anyone who debates Manga/Anime characters should know this.

The manga vs anime debate varies from series to series. The manga doesn't always supercede the anime. In My-HiME, the anime is canon and the manga is secondary.

....or are we just talking about Bleach here?

Overall.

Im referencing bleach. Unless the anime follows the source material to the t (manga in this instance) then it is not considered canon. The scene in question is when Ichigo was attacked by Byakuyas "thousand sword" attack. And ichigo manages to block it initially but eventually succumbs and only survives due to his hollow.

IMO and most others who follow anime/manga. As soon as something strays from the original then it cannot be considered canon.it's not too difficult a concept to grasp

How do you guys feel about Goku and his ability to solo comics/manga?

It was not a thousand blades, it was stated to be 100's of millions. That scene in the Anime is canon to the manga. Visit Anime vs threads buddy.
