Will vote for a peak tier.

Sorry carver, but I don't see DBZ as powerful as you say they are either. Was not the power level system abandoned after Frieza? I think there's a reason for that. I'll agree they are fast, but not faster than light. Not by a long shot. Will also agree they are strong, but not the strongest.

Didn't power levels just measure an amount of energy anyway?

I'm drawn to two possible conclusions:

1) they measure Ki energy
2) they measure threat level

Neither of those mean that someone with a powerlevel of 10 is twice as good in every way as someone with a powerlevel of 5.

I think they measure total Ki energy, yeah. Don't they even decrease as fights go on longer?

I think I remember during Goku vs Android 19 Piccolo remarking how Goku's power level was continuously shrinking.

I vote we name the peak tier "Elite" btw. Seems better than Peak.

I never said they are the strongest or the fastest beings out there but they are underestimated.

What is peak tier?

And to each his own. I'm just here to debate but if you want, I dont mind giving you reasons on why I put them where they are at.

Just so we're clear will this include such a tier in between Meta and Herald or between Herald and Trans?

Thats anyone with energy powers. Didnt and no one goes through beatings like DBZ characters does so its pretty obvious that they would lose energy getting punched through mountains and getting shot by nukes throughout a fight.

Please do. Would like to see them all.

More of your DBZ exceptionalism?

"No one goes through beatings like DBZ characters"

Lol.

DBZ mountains>other mountains I guess.

I'd vote for an elite tier in between every set, personally.

Elite Street, Elite Meta, Elite Herald, ect.

I don't think there needs to be an elite street tier, that's what Low Meta is. At least that's what it is to me.

The perceived difference between High Street and Low Meta isn't as big as that between High Meta and Low Herald.

Why doesnt it mean that when we have a clear view of someone with a power level of 300 over powering someone with a powerlevel of 250. Goku had a power level of 95 and Roshi had a power level of 100 and roshi over powered Goku.

That's true.

I agree with this.

My intent was between each set, so each tier below Transcendant would have 4 classes rather than 3.

So yes, there woukd be an Elite Street.

I always stated this about Thor and Surfer and I honestly do think this should be put into place. It is a good idea.

I'll vote yes for elite/peak, and move for Megaman in High Meta with Megaman X in Elite Meta.

I don't get the idea behind peak, nor I understand which problems are supposed to be solved by its introduction. Just look at the Martial Arts Thread to notice how annoying its to separate into meaningless tiers and the Panther discussion which could honestly be bumped up, more tiers means more mess unless the new tiers mean something very defined.

Can anyone tell me what's the point of it?

The power difference between High Meta and Low Herald is massive. Lots of the characters in High Meta are supposedly much more powerful than the rest while still not being Herald material. Peak/Elite is meant to bridge that gap.

Yeah personally I see no need for an Elite Street and there isn't much reason for an elite Herald but Elite Meta is a must considering LOTS of Anime and Game characters fall along those lines.
