It gives us a description of who is much more powerful than the other even though they are in the same tier. Example... Surfer and Superman are in the same tier, high herald but they are far away from being equals. There are people that will outright say that Surfer can get a 9/10 against Supes and give reasoning behind it.

With that said, if there were a tier like the one ili is talking about then that would give us a good idea on who to put vs who. Another example, Gladiator vs Thor, both are considered high heralds but Thor would get a huge chump of victories out of Gladiator due to him just being more powerful.

Even though you are high herald, there are other high heralds that is just MUCH more powerful than the others.

While I understand the reasoning behind Surfer's superiority against Superman, comics consistently show Superman as the uberest character out there even with his classic weaknesses. I suppose a fourth tier could be worked, I'm just a bit sceptical about if it would be useful.

Maybe we could try to put it in motion with the classic Comic tiers thread where things are more "settled".

This is a fully diplomatic process, so it's up for a vote. I'm not imposing anything, just an option that can be fine tuned to fit our needs.

We are not adding more tiers, its just that the tiers that we are using are broken down into 4 classes each.

There's currently 8 votes for implementing the new "Elite" designation, possibly 9 if Parmaniac's thumbs up was also a sign of support. Couple more votes and the Elite nominations will become valid.

Nine tails is mid-high herald. When it took over Naruto, with just 4 tails, it destroyed the earth around it just by waving it's hand.

You cannot name a High Herald or even a Mid Herald the Fox could so much as hold a majority against.

do you watch or read 'Naruto'? The compressed chakra bomb he used against Orochimaru would kill half the people in the mid-herald tier...and that was only 4-tailed Kyuubi.

Unless the compressed chakra bomb is above planet busting I kind of doubt it.

that is how strong kyuubi is and it's not even @ half strength. Check out how big those walls were that Orochimaru summoned... the blast cut through them like a hot knife through butter and still severly phucked Orochimaru up. Kyuubi @ full strength would annihilate most of the people in mid-herald.
