Frieza didnt have limited powers... frieza powers started dampening during the time he was getting beat by Goku... kind of like Thanos when he was getting manhandled by Odin, he was getting weaker. Thats with every character but I have yet to witness Thanos taking a thrashing or outright beating like frieza did so its kind of hard to compare the two losing power during combat.
Thanos doesnt possess unlimited energy. King Ki is a telepath along with Picollo and they still have fear in their heart when it came to frieza. Hell, King Ki was talking to Goku all the way across the solar system. Mind rape isnt doing JACK to frieza.
Transmulate/Matter Manipulate... dont act like DBZ cannot do this. Picollo alone can matter manipulate and he can do it at a high level but he sure as hell isnt matter manipulating frieza because if so, he would have done it during battle. All the things you mentioned, weaker DBZ characters can do and they still fail in comparison to frieza.
Its not working and again, in a fight, frieza has the advantage over Thanos except with durability since frieza never flew inside of a black hole (even though I think he could, just cant back it up).
And how is Super Saiyan Goku a high herald when we have a showing of him screaming and his screamed stopped an erupting volcanoe? We also have Goku in a 5 minute fight making a 10 issue comic and lets not include his strength. This is the same Goku that had a planet destroying blast the size of the statue of liberty thrown at him by frieza and Goku stopped it with his hands and punched it out of space into another planet.
Frieza is above high herald. Again, I cant picture any high herald OR Thanos destroying a planet with LESS THAN 1% of their power. Not 1% but less than 1%.
The crazy thing about it is frieza waved his hand and split the planet namek in half. WTF

Its a form of telepath but in DBZ it was never used offensively because I guess it wouldnt work and the Z fighters are telepaths and strong telepaths at that. I am pretty sure they can cancel Thanos telepathic abilities out.
