Well we have 29 vans and 28 routes, 1 van is for random work(prior approvals) all 28 routes involve transporting elderly patients to and from the senior centers....we have 1 van broken down for repairs.....so thats one driver who gets sent home....then the partner takes a van for personel reasons....that two drivers who go home.....and the work from the two missing vans has to be given out to other drivers to cover....that means lateness and overcrowding the vans...to top it off the partner takes our best passenger van(newer van w/14 seats) and i have to explain to the center why they have a crappy smelly old van and why its late etc etc etc....i hate sending drivers home....and i fight to get them at least 4 hours pay, and remind them they have a union*but i must be carefull 😖hifty:
