not all of them at once, but he did beat Michael who was easily more powerful than him.

Im not debating that Thanos basically had the powers & authority of Him, but all we saw was him destroy THAT reality: not the Marvel Multiverse, not the Marvel Omniverse......just *that* universe.

Means something like:

"It's their Universe that's in trouble too"
