Well, about the fight, they got to save something for the season finale.
Its been 20 episodes so far and we have hardly had any decent power fights its about time they gave us something heck they should have given us something 9 episodes ago. Its funny how on this show the anticipation and build up to a fight is actually more exciting than the fights themselves.
For the record, Peter was using flames, not radiation. Sylar's had the cryokinesis for awhile, just hasn't been used very prominently. Mr. Walker in the episode where Matt goes after Sylar is the best example, frozen solid at the breakfast table...
I don't think that the point of Heroes is the fighting so far, in all honesty. 'Oh noes, Peter vs. Sylar suxx0rz!' Oh well, that's not what I'm basing my like of the show off of, so it slightly annoys me when people gripe because Peter had his back turned or Hiro returned to the past just as the fight started...
Meanwhile, the twist of Nathan being immitated by Sylar was almost too intense. I was like 'Oh dear god!'
"I'm the leader of the Free World. I'm the most special person there is..."
*twitch*
Meanwhile, on Niki's lack of Jessica, I read somewhere that one of the personalities became the dominant personality after awhile, and that the powers went with whichever one won superiority.
Also, in an interview, Tim Kring mentioned that Peter has ALL of Sylar's powers, from an earlier discussion I was participating in. So...why doesn't Peter use them?

Linderman is the oldest living evolved human as of now and he said he wants to reveal the evolved humans to the world so maybe he created the act.BTW i think Niki and Jessica had merged as she behaved like a mixture showing Niki's caring side but Jessica's agressiveness.
Seems like the most likely possibility...
Linderman probably passed away or something. Who knows.
As for blowing Claire up...well, Ted exploded right next to her, and it seems that regeneration will help Peter survive exploding, so blowing her up might not do it. However, if you cut off her arm, hard to say if it would grow back.
After all, if Sylar managed to pry her head open, she wouldn't be able to grow a new 'top of the head.'

I'm sure if you hold her severed limb up to her bloody stump it would regenerate, just like when she folded the flaps of her chest up after being on the autopsy table.
Her brain though...that's a different story. If it's cut out and removed then she's dead.

Yeah, that's stretching it way too far. They gave her a weakness on purpose. If something is blocking her body from healing (ie, the stick, or the glass in Peter's head) then she is dead. I'm glad they didn't make her 100% like Wolverine, being able to use his body to remove those types of things.

I wonder if blasts of fire and ice count as blocking the regenerative process... ermm
I doubt the fire, like Macabre said, she handled the radiation burns like a champ.
Ice could block her regenerative process if it is lodged in her brain or heart, but once it melts she will heal up.
