That's a different story. Bison's durability in Charlie's ending is contradicted not only by other endings but by the storyline itself, since he did end up loosing his body in the explosion. On the otherhand, Asuka's Tekken 5 ending shows that she could purify Jin's Devil. This is NOT contradicted by anything and is supported by the fact that she's related to Jun Kazama, who also had the same ability. It's more like a bloodline thing, like the Mishimas. So no, it's not a double standard.

Bison only got attacked by a few and he wasn't weakened at all and Charlie only held him back to prevent him from escaping. Also, in Charlie's ending, Bison survived the explosion after he lost to Charlie so that doesn't mean anything.

Wit the Drive (which is Shin Bison) he can survive the blast, in Charlies's endin the Drive and Bison were hit at the same time. Notice how Bison was killed wit the air craft guns AFTER the Drive blew up?
