These days there's a lot of crowded High Schools, for some reason, and so sometimes they're finniky about who they let in. I almost didn't get into my Highscool, because there were so many people trying to get into it at one time.
We have classes with 40+ students in it, that's how full we are.
EDIT- Didn't see Sol's reply there... I guess that's a reason too *skulks*

Well... there's two highschools in our district, Westmoor is the one I go to and the other one is called Jefferson.
Basically, Jefferson sucks 😐 We have like a 98% graduation rate, much higher test scores, much safer, much more money.. better in every way really, and everyone knows it. Plus, the schools are like a five minute drive away from each other, so location is hardly an issue.
Naturally, a Parent would want there child to go the better, safer school no?
Problem is that it's a school with a population of nearly 2000 students, but it's only built, and staffed, for 1500. So the staff is overwhelmed, it's nearly impossible to get in, there's like a two year waiting list, and the school has almost no money...
I live in Daly City, btw. It's a little town that's like two blocks outside of San Francisco.
