Isn't Messiah complex set after Astonishing X-men? I haven't read either story lines yet and I really hope I'm wrong but I'd speculate that she's the X-man who doesn't make it back alive.

Nah, my money is on either Armor or Emma

Despite the fact we've seen Emma in MC.

But the Armour comment is valid, I haven't seen her in Messiah Complex either.

kitty was in x-men 204, but if what i read on whedonesque is true, the sequence goes:

x-men 204 - astonishing - messiah complex...
