I agree, i will admit when she first appeared or shortly after i had a problem with her, one power and one that i did not think they could pull off well, in time she became one of my favorites and mostly due to her characterization, whedon just elavated her to another level

Kitty deserved the spotlight......Props to Kitty pride A.K.A Shadowcat....may she return to us soon 😉

Edit...... how long would it take for reed to signal the surfer and find her?

liked 498 (colossus using a door as a weapon, nice, though brubakers retcon in 497... meh.)

loved giant size... i really did... just that it took so damn long to come out, and im still not sure what happened with cyclops...

emma's head-trip when she was all evil and bullshit [which i don't remember ever fully getting resolved,] gave him "clarity." apparently she either caused a retcon which established cyke's visual impairment as a psychological flaw, or "bootstrapped his brain chemistry" like she did to herself during endangered species.

anyway, kitty phasing the entire bullet/missile went by me. call me naive for suspending my disbelief, but when she's moaning about feeling sick and not even being able to phase herself, then she phases a ten-mile-long solid object that's composed of a metal she admitted to having extreme difficulty phasing through ["i'm in piotr's cell," or whatever,] i didn't see it coming. personally, i think emma forced kitty to do it, hence her heartfelt words and tears at the end. personal opinion.

yeah, those are both possibilities...

kitty knew the entire world would be destroyed, so i'm thinking it was one of those freak moments where every ability gets augmented a thousand fold ...

Cyclops is just fooling everyone.....when the next villain tries and use cyclops's weakness(like taking off his visor while he is near someone he loves...xmen movie?) he will show them he can control it....or....it will be a teamwork maneuver....cyke looses his visor and the enemy thinks he is in trouble...then emma goes in his head and....wham

I dont like the way it was resolved, cmon cant we let cyclops grow and use his power the right way? It would really show that cyclops is growing in more ways than one.

They seem to be having visorless sex in #25. I don't think it's the last we've seen of visorless Cyclops. Because he's been using his visor all this time it seems like he's not used to the strain of holding it in. But as time progresses he'll get better at it.

his eyes are closed... c'mon, you've never done it in the dark? 😛

I'd say it's more like being blindfolded. But it just seems a little risky...what happens if he accidently opens his eyes Diamond Form?

my theory is, given the astonishing retcon, that he can control his blasts (in the sense of not firing them), it just takes an extreme amount of concentration (the way people used to talk about shadowcat), so that while he could do it for short periods, he still needs the visor on a day to day basis...

also, rephrase, please, cos that was confusing... 😛

I was just trying to imagine Emma being blasted into a wall unless she sensed it and went into Diamond Form.

in which case she would reflect/refract the beam, and the room would shake... heh, maybe she likes it rough, though...

El Sexo talks about little beyond sex

I was thinking the same regarding your theory but I think he'll reach a stage where he won't need the visor anymore. If you remember back to the last pages of GSAXM Emma said I was surprised you held it in that long. I'm sort of under the impressionthat he'll eventually get use to the strain of holding it in.

Anyway what did you think of the Sketchbook. I couldn't stop laughing at Dazzler and Storms costume. Emma's isn't as bad as I first thought.

It's funny. I was thinking about the same word when I read pr's post but I didn't type it because I think somebody else has been called the same in the board.

ExodusCloak, are you a girl ?

maybe he will, though he is at an age where his body isn't going to get into any better condition, i dunno... i think he wouldnt be the same without the visor, though...

sketchbook was alright, though in all honesty i prefer cassaday to bianchi at this point...

i laughed more at the fact that dazzler might be on the team, than her costume... 😛

Bianchi went too far with detail. Have you seen the Cable #6 preview?

too far on shading too, imo...

no, is it bad?

one thing i enjoyed about giant size, and i have to admit, i think part of it finally nailed down the fact that its scott and emma now, not emma being a rebound girl or being a placeholder till jean comes back... scott's with emma, she's good for him, and he's good for her... and i have to say, i like it...
