"The devil made me do it"
No one was able to repair the Universe, including "God."That's the way the story was written.
Thanos clearly stated that "God" himself needed to destroy everything
in order to "Fix" the Flaw:
"had shown me the Error of certain assumptions on my part,
foremost the conclusion that the Previous Almighty
had been nothing but mindless energy"
"the Trap I blundered into"
"what better way to handle a Cosmic dilemma,
than to pass off the responsibility to an unsuspecting fool?"
"I perceived Reality's sole Hope of salvation,
the Cure lay in starting over from scratch ...
I was the perfect candidate to be the destroyer of the Universe"
.........................................................................................
That's very clear,
God/Toaa gave Thanos their "on panel" Power,
so that Thanos could be the one to Fix the 616 Reality,
which supports All of Marvel.
.........................................................................................
So you typed all that to repeat what I've just said ?
Point and fact : Thanos couldn't repair the Universe without erasing it and the recreating it . If he was Omnipotent in the true sense of the word he would have been able to do it without destroying it thus he is not omnipotent .
Quite simple
Actually Thanos Knew exactly where Warlock was.And on top of that, the story alludes to
Thanos not absorbing the realms beyond Space & Time
because he wanted Warlock to survive,
so that Warlock could witness Thanos' "grand gesture"
that "gesture" being, Thanos saving all of Marvel:
"Warlock, only you could've survived, Of Course,
you and Gamora were OUTSIDE this Reality. (Thanos KNEW)
That saved you from joining your comrades in Oblivion,
I see no reason you should Now not share their fate"
.........................................................................................
Warlock's response to that:
"Except that no one would Witness your grand gesture ...
I understand you better than perhaps, you do yourself"
Thanos had no ideea who was coming through the portal , thus excluding the ideea that he let Warlock survive and also the fact that he was omniscient since he didn't have a clue . Thanos also says that "Only you could have somehow miss the end of the universe" clearly insinuating that Thanos had nothing to do with Warlock surviving . Besides ,your entire assumption about Thanos letting Warlock survive has very , very vague , inconclusive evidence based mostly on personal opinion that has already been countered .
I see you haven't adressed the point where he didn't know that Death still existed which , doesn't really need to be adressed because it's pretty obvious really .
Thanos stating "Only you and I remain" (Thus excluding the possibility that he knew of the existence of death :
Thanos pretty much being in shock when he sees Death :
Omniscient .. yeah 🙄
Another factor is the fact that it is stated that Death exists on another plane which if Thanos was not one with and didn't absorb thus excluding the ideea that he was one with the Omniverse :
Pretty clear that he was neither Omniscient nor one with the Omniverse (Everything )
My reply to your first quote handles this.
Actually this has nothing to do with the first post . It implies Omnscience (knowing the future and the outcome) not the Omnipotence (which he doesn't have) .
Not to mention that it's clearly stated by him that he was an "unsuspecting fool" :
Unsuspecting and Omniscient don't really get together well .
From your perspective
(which lacks a detailed recollection of the relevant issues) perhaps,
but now that we've seen the facts with the on panel evidence
it becomes clearer doesn't it.Just like the first page of #5 is titled:
Thanos had,
"OMNIPOTENCE"
It was clearly stated that he can't repair the Universe without destroying and recreating it . So the fact that he is Omnipotent is nullified since it's clearly stated that he can't do it .
The words Omnipotent and can't don't really get along neither.
So if Thanos wasn't Omnipotent , Omniscient and Omnipresent and yet he was "Everything the Almighty was" I gotta say , the Almighty in Marvel Universe doesn't look that good 😉
