so adjust my numbers up, I don't think the soldiers answers would change.

"well, at five billion per bomb I'm glad my life was spared, at 7.5 billion per bomb, maybe we should have invaded instead"

$30 billion . . .

So you'd rather be at the front of beach assault than comfortably on the sidelines, if it saved your country 20 billion?

If I was a country I might be wondering how much those soldiers were really worth.

I don't think it was right for us to bomb Japan. Yes, we had the right to retaliate but it didn't have to be so extreme. Plus, Japan was surrendering when we dropped the bomb, but the people who deciphered the message didn't know Japan's culture. In Japan's culture it is rude to say yes so instead they say maybe. In there culture maybe means YES! So it's these idiots faults. These scientists hadn't run the effects of what would happen, they'd only tested these bombs in secluded deserts! they didn't know that these nuclear bombs would have these after effects. Most people that survived this bomb are sick most days out of the month if they're lucky they are not in the hospital more days than they are at home. And these survivors who have offspring there are increase rates of cancer, chronic diseases, and genetic damage to these offspring. If you want to know more about Hiroshima from the actual survivors of the bombing of Hiroshima read Hiroshima by John Hersey.

No, no, no. Maybe means maybe. You don't bloody say 'maybe' in a situation like this.

Man, I have made some badass threads in my time on this forum.
