okay since everybody's braggin' bout their brief encounters with a lotta 'has-beens', i might aswell blow into the same horn:
Somewhere in '84 i met Pete Townsend from The Who in a waitingroom at a doctor's surgery in London.
I saw a seemingly annoyed Don Johnson and Phillip Michael Thomas in Miami when they were on set shootin Miami Vice...well basically they were runnig up and down a street numerous times...
On the 1996 christmas holidays i met or better sat 2 rows behind Michael Moore on a plane from Miami to Orlando.
In 2001 i met Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin) and Chris Robinson (The Black Crowes) in front of the Four Seasons in New York City...while Jimmy was fishing for some left overs with his index finger that were obviously stuck between his teeth ... 😄
and as a member of the official Jackie Chan Fan Club i got to meet the master himself when he was doing promo for New Police Story in Cologne, you can see me on the bonus material of the german version of the New Police Story - Special Edition deeveedee...😐

alright..as for Pete Townsend...well by '84 i was only 5 years old and therefore couldn't be bothered with something like Who or What, and my English wasn't even starting back then, you know..he just sat there like everybody else, no one took notice of him cept for my mum who recognised him instantly. So she addressed him in a polite way and being a bit surprised that someone actually recognised him they got into an hour long discussion about differences between the German and British health care system, about kids and their diseases (cause he himself had kid my age) and so forth...while all that happened i did what all 5 yr olds do...sitting on the floor and playing with hot-wheels and Lego's...
as for Don and Phil in '88...well they weren't much of a talk to either...simply because they were shooting and no one was allowed to be in their reach cept for the extras...and i don't think Don would've talked to us, since he was really pissed and yelling at the director all the time...much to the amusement of my father who couldn't hide his schadenfreude witnessing the meagreness of a 5'6 midget in a snow white suit with a deep red head, running up and down a street on a clear and sunny 100.4 degree afternoon. 😄
and no..i hadn't had the chance to talk to Mr. Moore because he was on his cell talking quite loudly almost through the entire half hour flight and we couldn't be bothered either cause we already had a 14 hour flight odyssey behind us which span from Duesseldorf to Munich and from Munich to Miami...and at that point, you just don't give a **** anymore..even if the ****ing Queen of England sat on your lap...
but Page was far better...while Robinson slipped into the limo with a "take care guys!" Page signed my NYC road map with a smirk when i lashed out on my brother right in front of him for not bringing the camera along...and with a "ere ya go, chum" he was gone...one of the best moments in my life 😮
and with Jackie i got the whole shabang...i shook his hand, and got to tell him how much i admired his body of work and how he inspired me to practice martial arts as well...and he was just the kindness in person, never have i met a man such as modest as he was...when he came on stage and cheers began..he actually blushed! so fond of the response he was given to. He took his time with everybody...patiently answering questions..this is one of the few super stars who really appreciates his fans, never takes anything for granted, no spleens who knows what he owes his following...and maybe a bit too much..you see..he has little or no private life...he didn't even marry anymore cause some of his female "fans" killed themselves or threatened to do so after his first marriage became public...i mean who else would do that??
