Doubtful. Kyo(unlike Terry) has reached a certain level of cool to the point that a character can be stronger than him w/out it lowering his cool points. He's probably SNK's 3rd coolest hero

1. Rock(He throws his f*ckin' jacket on your f*ckin' face mane)
Haohmaru(Galford's cooler but not the hero)
Kyo(took the spotlight from a ripoff & a glory hog who held back everybody in his series & he sets muthafvckas on fire)

SNK coolest heroes:
-Terry Bogard. original from head to toe. introduced the hero with a life. and the first hero to wear normal clothes. he wins tournies, plays videogames and basket ball and has a girl unlike certain eunuchs who can't win a tournament despite training their whole life.

-K Dash. no question about it. good character, original from all angles and a badass array of moves. some of the coolest moves in 2D history.

-Kyo Kusanagi. took him a while to develop, but once he did, there was no turning back. hands down the coolest punches ever made, cool persaonality and toasting his opponents.......pure badassery. KoF aint KoF without "The Rich Man's Son of Flames". oh, and kyo started to kickass from KoF96 onwards.

SNK coolest characters:
-Iori Yagami. RESPECT!!!

-Terry Bogard.

-Geese Howard. the original badass mafia boss of the SNK universe. defines badass in all ways............and doesn't run away from underaged girls.

SNK Coolest side characters:
-Shen Woo. hands down the coolest character by SNK. original and pure badass brawler. FINALLY a brawler who brawls. RESPECT

It was doubtful, though...G-Mantle thing is strange, though in the issue 8 G-Mantle is clearly revealed to be the real Kyo.
Also we know for sure that "Kyo" K' kills at the beginning of KOF2003 manga isn't real one.

Yea, but starting in issue 16, he started to become bloodthirsty, vengeful, and that seem to power him, and his random uncharacteristic actions throughout the later issues.....Other than that, I'm shooting blanks. 🙁

KOF 2002 is not to my taste much. First, the art is horrible (compared to great KOF2000\Zillion KOF2002 quite sucks in terms of art). Second, it spawned some crap like baseless theory about K's right arm being prothesic. Though I feel Kyo going berserker is somehow connected to his fight against K9999 in KOF2001. Also it was a tie to the later reappearacne of team Orochi.
Has to look through the translation of those issues. BTW, technically it's manhua, not manga, as it was published in Hong Kong in Chinese.

The only site that had decent translations of the manhua, KoFOnline, went belly up, sadly. So I have no means o understand all of this weird BS the manga spewed at us decent people.

Luckily I have a friend who knows Chinese so she did some translations for me, though she translated it into Russian so I still had to upload scans in Chinese in RT for manhua version of K' (feel lazy about secondary translation into English).

Wait, I just had a crazy idea, why don't we make a RT for manga/manhua/comic version of Kyo. If K' can have one, so should Kyo and the others.

I have mentioned that "crazy idea" a few pages ago🙂 Though as for now there were only two exceptions- K' and Dante both have separate RTs dedicated to their ingame\manga(comics, manhua) feats. I was just stubborn and finally got that allowed. Comics\manhua RTs are included in Comics RT section.

The RT for Kula Diamond is a work in progress. Luckily there's a "sister" forum, House of Zod, where you can keep said separate threads.

Yea, I commented on one particular panel (Demetri turning Kyo into a woman), with un-noteworthy results.
