As for Ridley getting infected by the X (again), guess I shouldn't be surprised there. 😛 The metamorphosis part (of Ridley getting infected) did look pretty cool though, with the bright (somewhat rainbow-ish) colors and all.

But the Omega already knocked out Samus before SA-X came into the picture. SA-X was able to inflict damage to Omega and thus she could do the same here plus Mecha-Ridley is here

Whoa... I just noticed something cool (that was hard to tell before) when replaying Prime 3 recently.
On Norion, when you head back to your ship after restoring the 2nd generator (just after the cutscene where a PED GF Trooper kills a bunch of Space Pirates), when the PED GF marine says "What the heck is that?!" as Ridley flies by, it wasn't actually a building that Ridley attacked with his plasma breath (like I thought it was before), but it was really an entire platoon of GF marines, which Ridley seemed to wipe out single-handedly with that one attack (it's hard to tell, but you can kinda hear screams of death when he's doing the attack in the background).
Heh. Poor GF Troopers...
That was an awesome easter egg though.
