In the Gandrayda fight for example, it should've ended in a draw when Gandrayda morphed into Samus (since Samus basically has no weakness, unlike Rundas and Ghor), but no. Samus-G had to be made weaker than the real Samus, just so Aran could win.
They also make Samus look a lot stronger in the cut-scenes than she actually is during gameplay. In the MPH intro, she uses her Boost Ball to uppercut a Space Pirate, and in one of the Norion cut-scenes, she drops a Pirate Trooper with just one or two Power Beam shots (uncharged), which was before she even got her P.E.D. >_>

I disagree with you here. Just because Gandrayda took the appearence of Samus doesn't mean she and Samus would be equal. Neither of them think alike and because of that Samus is more than able to out think Gandrayda and defeat her despite her taking on the same appearence. Samus was trained since birth by the Chozo and Gandrayda doesn't even come close to combat experience.

Not quite. It was stated in one of the lores in MP3 that Gandrayda had completed plenty of missions as well (infiltrating places with her shape-shifting abilities, using her cloaking device to turn invisible when necessary, etc.), which Gandrayda considered herself a rival of Samus because of that, so she's got plenty of experience under her belt as well.
Anyhow, sorry for the slight off-topicness. Back to Ridley, I guess. >.> If/when there's finally another character update on the smash dojo site, I hope it gets to be Ridley, since the last one was King Dedede.

New scans of Ridley I just from the Metroid Zero Mission manga, which I didn't know even existed up until now. 😬
Wish I knew what was going on there... though Ridley certainly looked sad or something in the 2nd pic, and it looks like he's begging about something in the 1st pic. 😂
If I didn't know any better, I'd say he was killing Samus' parents (again) in the 4th and 5th pics.
I'm eh, currently not sure if there's anymore ZM manga with him in it.

Well I just remembered this as well. Gandrayda took the form of Samus in her Varia Suit not the PED suit which would mean that she basically took the form of Samus from the start. Not with the Heat Beam, Ice Missiles, Hypermode and all its abilities, and what not.
But cool pics of Ridley. And Brawl needs more Metroid characters!
