lol Sure. Don't matter to me what Pokemon you put it on. 😛 Just finished getting the mega stone for Gyarados and all the other stones I could get on my version earlier, so maybe the Magicarp (when it evolves) could be used for that.

On that note, I believe the Pinsirite I got on my game is something exclusive to X. Would you be interested in that and for me to put it on the random Pokemon I trade?

Not really, but I guess I expected you to post a "top negative list" of some kind on this sooner or later since they're current popular games.

Truth is though these are the best games Pokemon has had in years. Gen 4 was a mess (introducing stealth rock and all that shit), gen 5 was an alright step up from gen 4, especially in the creature design department, but gen 6 is something that can be pretty much enjoyed by fans of both old and new equally well, with everything X and Y have to offer and what they introduced.

Not to mention Mewtwo became "Where's your God now?" tier.

Yeah if thats how you want to do it!

When I see rants like this, I seriously want to tell these people "no one cares what you think."

Seriously! These people are so f**king negative! They need to quit looking for reasons to be dissatisfied!

Thankfully they're in the minority, far as the new Pokemon swag at least.

Sure. I mean it wouldn't be fair for me to not give somethin like a version exclusive megastone in return for what I'm getting. I'll just catch something random to attach the Pinsirite to real quick.

So what's your friend code? Mine's 0774-4845-6886. Could still use having more people on my list anyway because of the friend safari feature.

Mine is 0602-7405-3205!

and yeah thats cool with me! You can put it on anything.

Oh, I just realized... I missed the chance to get the mega stone for Manectric earlier on route 16, the same way you got Houndoom's. Would you rather have that one for Manectric (its mega form I don't really care for) and me wait at the right time tomorrow or somethin to get it, or do you still want the Pinsirite? The Manectric megastone is also X exclusive btw.

Whatever the case ends up being, added you in the meantime.

Yeah I can wait until tomorrow for the Manectric mega stone. Added you also!

Alright. Tomorrow/later it is then.

Here's a guide btw in case you or anyone were wondering where the other mega stones are.

http://www.neoseeker.com/forums/60943/t1911345-guide-mega-stone-locations/

Now that I think about it, guess I'll catch you an Aron or one of its evolutions (which is X exclusive far as encountering in the wild), that way you can actually use the mega stone for Aggron should you bother to get the stone inside the Cyllage gym (you'll see it as a little glittering spot like with the other post-game mega stones). On my end I still need to get that mega stone for Tyranitar inside said gym.

Thanks! I think the last stones I need are the ones that pop up between 8-9. Is there a Y exclusive pokemon you need? If I have it I will trade it to you. If I don't I'll catch it if you know where its located. I went on your safari and I caught a frogadier. It completely took me by surprise. I didn't see it right away though. It took a little walking around.

From what I understand, each player's friend safari has its own Pokemon type, which is determined by the numbers on their friend code. Based on what you said about encountering a Frogadier in mine, I guess I have a water type safari. Was curious which type mine had for awhile. And yeah, you tend to see certain Pokemon in the wild in friend safaris that you normally wouldn't see anywhere else, even starters. You can also come across things like a wild Gyarados in a grass area, etc.

As for a Y exclusive Pokemon, well someone already traded me a Larvitar earlier, so I guess that just leaves Heracross mainly (found on route 12). That would also mean I'd want Heracross' mega stone though, but that can be saved for a different trade, in which case I would catch a Pinsir and give it its megastone and trade it to ya. For now though I just want Houndoom's mega stone attached to any Pokemon ya trade I guess, and I'll give you a Lairon I caught earlier with Manectric's megastone in return. And if you evolve that Lairon into Aggron then you can use Aggron's mega stone which is exclusive in your version, so win-win for you.

Heh, you know we'll be putting Pokemon down for awhile anyway once Arkham Origins comes out, but these trades will still at least help me with some long-term goals in creating certain PKMN teams.

I don't think so. All it does is illustrate the same conflict Pokemon's had since the second generation's release; whether Pokemon was fine as it's formulaic self or whether it needed a massive change.

Hardly. X and Y cater far more to people that have done nothing but complain about the games since Red and Blue, with the Kanto starters, Pikachu being available so early, and even the Snorlax. There's some merit to that negatives list.

This new generation is relatively pathetic when you consider the amount of new Pokemon compared to past generations. At 69, it is the smallest generation to date, and it's designs are horribly lackluster compared to past generations. Half of the content is attributable to the general introductions in each generation, like the nine spots for starters, the new bird and bug types for early game, and the new three stage dragon. This is good evidence for a serious lack of effort and creativity in new Pokemon.

As someone who doesn't think adding more new pokemon is all that desireable as a long term strategy I think this generation set the grounds to stop increasing the cast ad infinitum, actually working on established pokemon that have been introduced already instead of wanting to reinvent the wheel every few years.

Maybe the sheer number of entirely new pokemon is underwhelming, but the revamps of old pokes (via retyping) and the Megaevolutions are meant to lessen that lack of novelty. I can make peace with this contextually, even if I find the idea of using an item slot to employ megaevolutions pretty uninspired.

ok cool. I will still look into the heracross. Then I'll have it for a later trade. lol I immersed myself so completely in the other arkham games it took up every ounce of my free time. Im assuming Origins wont be different.

Yeah... this. That's pretty much my take on the subject as well, as I was one of the people actually glad that they focused less on adding 100+ new critters and more on changing other things in the game, which they did quite well on in X/Y IMO.

Except, I do wish they hadn't made certain mega stones (aside from Mewtwo and Charizard since they actually have two new forms) version exclusive. I mean they make Houndour/Houndoom available in the wild in X but you can only get its mega stone in Y, and vice-versa for Manectric? WTF GameFreak.

I concede though that I may have exaggerated a bit on how much gen 6 pleases both old and new fans. It definitely caters to the older fans more with what Moo pointed out, but with how gen 5 didn't sell as much as they were hoping, they had to have some kind of different formula this time around.

As for the designs being lackluster, it kinda goes half-and-half as far as the mega forms for me. Some ones I like which in turn made me like certain Pokemon even more than I did before, while other mega forms kinda did the opposite.

Also, they need to nerf ****ing Stealth Rock so that certain flying types (especially those that unfortunately have a 4x weakness to rock) won't be unplayable trash.

Lookin' to swap friendcodes with some people on here. Moo, Ridley?

Apparently I don't know how to get a friendcode yet.

Lol, I like Stealth Rock. Entry Hazards are a damn staple for this metagame, and one of the only things that'll keep Mega Charizard X in check. In addition, it's an important check to more obscure and irritating threats.
